I've only seen Somewhere and this, but I'd say definitely based on that comparison. Maybe a couple others of hers are good? IDK but Somewhere was pretty obviously a bad attempt to recapture the Lost in Translation mojo.

I watched it last year for the first time in about half a decade, years after I've long fell out of puppy love with all things Japanese culture and my fascination with its cultural output waned to more detached appreciation. I assumed for a long time that that was why I liked the movie way back in 2003. I wondered before it started playing now if I would enjoy this film less because of that. Because I was older.

Nope.

I love this film even more, but for entirely different reasons.

Hmm, didn't know about multiple processed variations. I have only seen the one where he says
