Hopefully it's better than the extremely lame episode that aired last week.

I like the insight into Kate's past and the fact she killed someone. But yeah last episode sucked. They didn't even show Claire especially after the last episodes cliffhanger.

Good episode so far. I hope they show us the "monster" finally. They should have a lot of SFX money saved up by now, with all the teasing. :lol

Dear Lost: WHAT THE FUCK. ANOTHER cliffhanger, this one even better than the previous ones. This show is going to make me invent a time machine.

next week on LOST....

..nothing but vague flashback and a meaningless twist ending. You have seen the trailer, don't need to see the episode because it won't answer any questions.

!?!?!?!

Ok I'm done

so next week they come up with the idea to build a raft...!??!?! Am I crazy or wouldn't that be the first thing you would think of? Of course this is the island where a mand eating man beast and other strange shit happens like people dying and getting better

I have to wait to see the preview when some website posts it...but WOW. That was great. The first real return to all out horror action for awhile, and the ending? I didn't really see it coming, but I should have. Because...

Greg Grunberg, who played the pilot of the plane, has supposedly hinted towards his possible return, which means that maybe even the entire Pilot was some sort of hallucination...but this is all too confusing for me to even get into.

I don't think it was real.
It was part of his dream.

I am pretty sure the flashback was real since they started earlier in the show and there were hints of that there.

Good episode

I thought the "incest" thing was his flashback/origin story, but the part with shannon being tied up, chased, attacked/killed was just the "motivation" thing Locke was talking about for him to free himself(both of his physical bonds, the rope, and his brotherly overprotection/jealous-get-in-her-pants thing).

The raft thing is stupid IMO, and yeah, should have been one of the first knee-jerk ideas to have come up. It's dumb because they have no idea where the hell they are, or what the sea/weather conditions out there are or how far away they are from any other landmass...hello, water/food supply?

Does anyone else think that Sun's husband also knows english? During the whole "PEE ON MY FOOT" thing, didn't he say "no" a couple of times towards the end? Wouldn't it be interesting that they both know english but are keeping it from each other?

Re: preview for next week...once again Sawyer has something, and once again they have to confront him to get it...it's getting a little old IMO. His whole Pack Rat thing is just tired...there's just one of him...raid his ass!

Oh, and the "Polar Bear" and "The Monster" are two different things right?

I watched my first episode. Not a bad show, but what is so great about it?

...I am going to suggest you learn how to use Torrent files. Because if you're trying to jump into it at THIS point? You're not gonna get it.

I do wish they'd start answering some questions, though, instead of continually raising new ones. This far into the season, you think we would've been thrown a bone. I guess the French lady is all we're going to get til near the end.

i dunno...maybe i'm just getting cynical but i've slowly begun to lose my LOST fervor. every episode just seems to be one giant cliffhanger...with no resolution in the end. i have a feeling that the last episode of the season will also be one giant cliffhanger with no explanations of what exactly is going on, what the "monster" is, why the polar bear is there, etc., etc. maybe the creators of the show are just stalling because...WAIT FOR IT...how do we tie all these loose ends together? let's stall!

maybe i liked it more towards the beginning because i went on a LOST watching-spree and watched the first 11 episodes all at once...

Well, its still not a real excuse for not moving the plot along, but its been pretty clear that, so far, just about every episode has been a vehicle to tell one character's (or, like in the case of tonight's episode, two character) background. It would seem that their plan is to do this for everyone and, until then, I'm not expecting a whole lot of plot development concerning what is happening *on* the island.

right now I'm probably in the minority but I'm more interested why/how everyone got on the plane. Of course the island itself holds tantalising mysteries but if we don't know why people are there to begin with the whole plot would fall apart.

What was the context of his statement? He could just be "returning" to film another flashback for Kate's character arc or something. That doesn't mean his character is going to come back to life or anything

Good episode. I hope they give us something to work with on what Locke and Boone are up to now, rather than just focus on Michael and Walt. Locke seems to be recruiting his own little group, slowly but surely.

I'm not sure the context (Read it second hand, it may be nothing) but they had yet to go back to the plane for flashbacks since the initial series of flashbacks. Ever since then, it's been either why they were on the plane, or what they did, or who they are, etc. That's why I'd say it has something to do with all of this somehow.

I would like to congratulate CTV for completely fucking up this airing of Lost. I really enjoyed how they cut to commercial every 5 seconds in the moments leading up Boone
finding his sister bloody on the rocks.

Shit! My Tivo didn't record the very end of the episode. It only got as far as Lock asking "Is that what it made you see?"

Can someone tell me what happened after that?

A gross exaggeration, but agreed. This would be an episode to watch without commercials.

Hm, I wonder if the flashback where it was said that his sister isn't blood-related was a part of the dream, too. Ditto with them making out.

So he wouldn't necessarily be GAY, just... incestuous. Yeah, I think I'd rather he be gay.

I highly doubt any of the flashbacks were part of the dream. I think we can safely take those for what they were. I don't think any of the flashbacks they've done have ever appeared to represent exactly what characters are thinking of at that moment. They're created for the audience, not representations of what characters are thinking, in which case all flashbacks would be called into question.
