Lost Soul Aside has been delayed to August 29th.

Bummer, as I was looking forward to playing it next month. But looking at from a bigger perspective such as Doom: The Dark Ages and Elden's Ring second anticipated DLC that's supposed to be release around the same day, along with the Switch 2's release a couple of days later, it's no wonder Sony delayed it to not only give it more polishing time but to also not get its sales squashed.

At least Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater won't harm Lost Soul Aside's sales since both games are different genres.

I hope you're right......

"On August 29, it's gonna feel pretty fucking real to you too! Anybody not wearing two-million sunblock is gonna have a bad day. Get it?"

Sorry, I had to.

I lost interest in this game quite a few years ago, but since Wukong was one of my GOTY contenders I am kind of interested in action games from China in general.

Could be a good game with some decent RPG mechanics and build variety.

I guess it makes sense to move out of way of Doom and Elden Ring.
If it helps the game be more polished at launch that's a plus too.

Don't know boys, this game looks like a "too little, too late" kind of thing and even more so now that it got delayed again.

It has taken so long to come out that it doesn't feel that special anymore.
I remember when this was announced it was a bit of a novelty, a cool looking stylish action game from a Chinese dev wasn't that common, the genre was basically dominated by Japan (at least the games that got western console releases).

Now though, it's entering a market where China and Korea have been killing it these past few years with stuff like Wukong, Stellar Blade, Khazan, Wuthering Waves, etc. With tons of upcoming games too, like Tides of Annihilation which honestly looks cooler.

I thought it looks a little rough at the last showing.
Needs as much polish as it can get, these kinds of games are starting to come out often now.
No one needs an unpolished sword/parry/dodge game.

Yeah it's a little too close to MGS3 Delta but i'm curious to play and see if, after so many years of development, the game is good or not.

what could they do that they haven't possibly done during the 2 centuries of development this thing had?

Wait which game is this one.
The 100th soulslike from Asia or is this that Final Fantasy 15 looking game?

I'm glad. May was too stacked for this game.

I want it to be as successful as possible.

Was waiting for this even longer than Wukong.

Good for me as it gives me more time to finish up First Berserker, that game is meaty and I don't want to rush it.

Major red flag that they still didn't show this during the state of play. Has the makings of a sub 70 metacritic written all over it.
