"Lots of PS4 game reviews coming in the next two weeks but not Xbone"

I'm assuming because the day one firmware patch to allow games to be played on XB1 isn't ready yet.

But it just adds more speculation to the "hide it from the press/public" theory so they can sell them before any bad reviews come out and change people's minds.

NOTHING Microsoft does is intelligent anymore. NOTHING.

Whoever is running that Xbox Division should be fired. It's awful how bad of a reputation they've developed just since E3.

Whenever Gies speaks I feel like I want to puke. Not out of disgust, but hate. Hate puke. I hate puke in your general direction, Arthur. :/

never heard the idea of puking because you hate something so much... Hate Puking... but now I can't stop laughing thinking about it...

Do me a favor from now on and if you think something Arthur posts is thread worthy, wait for an independent source and post that source instead.

Pretty obvious what he is saying.

Funny to look back on this exchange from Febuary:

Tried to warn him about eSRAM/MoveEngine pitfalls!

Guys WTF is with the Gies hate? Seriously? Don't like him, hen stop following him on twitter.

I'm actually getting kind of sick of news reports or threads coming from twitter posts. It is their personal twitters, they can say whatever the fuck they want. They don't have to consider GAF or anyone else. Breaking embargo o leaking info on twitter would be news-worthy. Venting frustration on the stupidity of next-gen embargoes is not.

The way I read it, his first tweet was out of frustration or something, the other tweets are just responding to the barrage of asinine tweets he must have gotten.
It's simple - Gies has a history of telling lies and talking shit in general.

Oh right. I'd say some of the dev tools are really well designed and intelligent to be honest.

So, what makes esRAM such a problem for devs?

It requires special tools to use effectively. It's like trying to shove stuff through a straw, when the PS4's unified pool is a 6 lane highway. People who like numbers have also said that getting that 32mb to play nice with a 1080p frame buffer running any sort of AA will be hard, if not impossible.

Normal Person: The sky is blue.

Arthur Gies: There's a vocal minority saying that the sky is blue and not green. Sure.

NP: What? The sky is clearly blue.

AG: I'm so glad that the hyperbolic Internet really thinks that the sky will be blue tomorrow.

NP: Why "tomorrow"?

AG: Can't say anymore. GAF is probably already melting down.

NP: Well yeah, because the sky is blue and not green.

AG: If you're an entitled Pokemon Blue fanboy who can't accept green.

NP: What? I never even mentioned...

AG: We'll see. Maybe. You might be surprised.

THE NEXT DAY

NP: Sky's still blue, brah.

AG: Is it? (link to photo of grass)

NP: That's grass. Do you know what "the sky" is?

AG: I know what your harassing buddies insist the sky is, and bully anyone who says otherwise. Blocked.

#dead

This is shockingly accurate. Bravo!

Yeesh. Technical Smechnical! In other words, I should be glad I'm getting a PS4 basically. lol

God damn brilliant.

Well if Gies is saying that all launch titles have problems because of the esram but things will be fixed in the future.....he must be hearing terrible stories about the state of Xbox One launch lineup.

Honestly... I wouldn't mind a lower resolution/framerate if it meant the game utilizes other system functionality (such as voice commands, gestures, game acoustics ect...) to deliver a richer/deeper gameplay experience. Sell me on the fun factor. I don't HAVE to have the best graphics, if you're doing something that is more intrinsically fun than what the competition offers... be that/do that. Not this "I don't know!" BS.

Meh, Arthur does this stuff all the time. Says he knows something secret when he really doesn't know anything. Its probably got more to do with that day 1 patch than anything else.

I only listen to gies for the laughs but sometimes he just does things that really depresses me. Case in point, post suspicious comments on twitter and try to act like it's nothing when it affects gamers, and mock for posting on a forum. ugh.

Why are threads based on Gies tweets a thing? Seriously. I've got him blocked on twitter so I don't have to see his nonsense when others retweet it and it's just as frustrating when they pop up here as well

EDIT: At the very least, indicate as such in the thread title

I think we all know Aurther Gies by now, we take every thing he spouts with a grain of salt, which is a lot less than the salt he gives.

So, would it be fair to say that Arthur Gies hasn't a notion as to what he is talking about and is a bit of a MS shill (whether he's aware of it or not).

Gies isn't a banned source? Guy's a tool. Follow how he got to where he is and you'll see the path of the least deserving member of the enthusiast gaming press.
