The reason why i created this ot is because I am really addicted to the game because they keep releasing new songs all the time. It is a rythm game and can get pretty hard on expert challenges also makes good use of your touchscreen and is perfectly playable. Hope to share this game with you guys and fight with you for all the rare cards during competitions .


This game is free
First of all to make it more clear this game is free. The only thing you can buy are lovecastones (the hearts) you need these stones to do a draw and get rare cards or refelling your stamina bar. These stones are also given for free during daily give aways and during competitions. But you don't need them. I already have 2 super rare's and about 20 rare's by just playing the game(japanese version for but i will switch to english now).

about:
Love live! is a rhythm game that is based on a popular series in Japan and finally released in English!!!! All these songs are sung by their respective voice actors. Players create units of 9 with idol cards they collect. These cards can be leveld up and evolved to form more powerful idols. Some of these cards have different kind of effects. like refilling your health bar or give you extra points during your combo's. This game also contains a story mode the more you level up the more story you unlock these cutscenes then reward you with money so you can spend that on leveling up your idols.

You can have a party of 9 idols. They are arranged in kind of a half circle when a note hits the idol you got to press the note and form the beat that way. hits contain of miss, bad, good, great, and perfect only great and perfect counts toward building a combo. Also there are several different notes popping up during a song these consist of:

normal note: just hit the note and it counts

hold note: when a note with a light appears you are suppose to hold it until the end

star note: these notes are giving you extra damage if you don't hit them at perfect or great.

dual note: a note with a line in the middel needs to be hold at the same time as the other one appearing on the screen

Earn new idols
You get a new idol after finishing goals in a song (scored points, *****s and for finishing the song) or when you scout idols. There are two ways of scouting. Honor Student Scouting and Regular Student Scouting. Regular will give you 1 student for every 100 friendpoints, you can scout a maximum of 10 at once. Usually it gives out N-Idols, but with a small chance you can get R's, too. Honor Student Scouting costs 5 Loveca/Love Gems per student, but will give you a free one if you scout 10 at once. This will give you usually R's, but there are small and smaller chances to get SR and UR idols.
If you finish a song successfully, you get one to three idols, usually N's, but very very rarely a R can appear too.

Improve idols
You improve your idols by cannibalism. You feed an idol up to ten other idols at once with Practice. The idol will get Experience based on the level and amount of idols you sacrifice. Idols have different max levels, based on their rarity. Every level increase their stats a little bit.

Bonding
While scoring in songs you get bonding points that are shared equaly between all participating idols whose Bond isn't maximized yet. When you maximize a bond with an idol for the first time you unlock the Sidestory of that character. When you download and viewed the short monolog, you get a Loveca.

There are three kinds of currency in the game: Friendpoints, Loveca/Love Gem and Gold. You can get friendpoints by finishing certain song goals and by helping friends and other players. Clearing the song a certain number of times on all difficulties and Score S and Combo S on hard will give you friendpoints. Gold is given for finishing songs, daily rewards and maximizing bonds.

Early goals in Scoring and Combos
There is also Gold in the daily rewards.

Friendpoints
Easy: 1x - 25 pts / 5x - 50 pts / 10x - 75 pts / 20x - 100 pts
Normal: 5x - 100 pts / 10x - 150 pts / 20x - 200 pts / 40x - 300 pts
Hard: 10x - 300 pts / 20x - 500 pts / 40x - 700 pts / Score S - 1,000 pts / Combo S - 1,000 pts
Helping or being helped by a Academy Student: 5 pts once a day
Helping or being helped by a Friend: 10 pts once a day
There are also friendpoints in the daily rewards.

Loveca/Love Gems
Hard: 100x - 1 Loveca
Maxing a bond with an idol and reading her Sidestory - 1 Loveca
New Player Bonus: 3 Loveca daily for 7 (?) Days after joining
Gather Idolized Members (Album Rewards)
Maximize bonds with idolized girls (Album Rewards)
Maximize LV. of idolized girls (Album Rewards)
Purchasing Lovea with real money 1 Loveca - 0,70€ (~1,4 L/&#8364, 6 Loveca - 2,82€ (~2,13L/&#8364, 15 Loveca - 7,05€ (~2,13 L/&#8364, 23 Loveca - 10,57€ (~2,18 L/&#8364, 50 Loveca - 21,14€ (~2,37 L/&#8364, 86 Loveca - 35,24€ (~2,44 L/&#8364
There are also Loveca in the daily rewards.

Certain stages of the Main Story and ranking in events will also net you Loveca, friendpoints and gold.

My device is rooted, can I get the game somehow to work?
Use Rootcloak 1.3 with Xplorer and SuperSU. Newest Rootcloak does not work that is why you need to use 1.3!!!!

The skill pop-ups in the songs are annoying!
You can disable them in Other -> Settings -> Live Show Pop-Ups

How do skills level up?
Sacrifice an idol with the same skill and skilllevel. You can get the skill probability up to 100% with this.

Should I use my friendpoints/Loveca right away or should I hoard them?
At the beginning of your carrier als virgin sacrificing Idolpriest you should collect 1,000 friendpoints and use them until you got most or all N's idolized. Then keep hording until new idols are added. You get enough N's trough playing songs to feed your idols.
For Loveca, keep them until an event gives you boni or at least - if you can't stand the urge - until you have 50 to get the free bonus idol.

I finished all available chapters, what now?
Keep playing. New content is added regularely and there is no levelcap that would hinder your progress. When new content comes, you eventually get it unlocked right away if you meet the conditions.

Can I flip the game?
Not on android.

Where are my dancing cgi idols?
In the anime It's fun, give it a shot if you like idols or cute girls in general and the music videos. Only portraits and circles here.

Scoring is really strange, I can get perfect string of combos and still only get C rank. How do you get better ranks?
Your Score scales with your idols skills. Generally: the highter the stat of the Idol in the specific area (Smile, Pure and Cool), for more details look here.

So I've already have my leader (I think is Nozomi) with all the flower thingies full, I suppose that is the max level, no? How do I idolize her further?
You have to combine two same girls to idolize them. Works only once.

About normal idolizing, if you get two same girls cards if you fuse them you can idolize them (second star), so I supposed that having 2 two star level smae girl cards would make you a level 3. I tried to that with the nun (I already had two level cards of her) and it doesn't let me. Something wrong with what Im doing or it isn't possible?
No, you only can combine once. 1+1=2, 3+3=4, and so on

The scout thingie, how do I get better idols? Do i need to spend hearts? if thats so, do they give hearts in normal ways instead of spending money?
Better Idols with hearts, yeah. And yes, there are ways to get hearts, look at my surrogate op two posts above.

What is loveca draw and BiBi?
Loveca are the hearts and BiBi is an Idolgroup of Muse (Eli, Nico and Maki)

The special skills of your leaders, the story mode said you need to activate them at the right time during concerts, yet mine does it automatically every 17 combos randomly (and I don't see any button to activate them), is that right?
Its not active. Punch you idol and you will see that there is something like "36% that this and that happens every 10 idolpunches".

Just downloade the english version after a fresh update the game is 130mb but it will grow big time. The japanese version i currently have is already 610 mb :lol (talking about the android version)

That is because you can download a lot of extra songs for competitions and stuff. Also when you fill the bond meter of your idols you can unlock voiced text messages which takes up a lot of memory

A fair amount. The gameplay seems fun though.

Not a bad localization either. Kind of surreal.

No it is a pure rhtyhm game with leveling your idols and shit when you get to the expert levels there is nothing kawaii about those except for the songs themself. There are some kawaii parts sprinkled throughout the story but those segments are like 1 min long and you can bash your way through the text to unlock new songs. You will start with a tutorial and the idols asking you for help to train them after that you can play easy songs and if you complete those you get the songs normal song and then hard if you level up by completing songs you will get new songs and the cycle repeats.

I'm wading through some shit right now and the game has had to restart itself a couple times already after downloading stuff. There's practices, special practice, extra members, bonding points. A lot of stuff that its trying to explain and I'm just tapping through.

Also, this may not be a tablet appropriate game. Depending on how fast things go you will probably end up tapping the sides and bottom pretty quickly and there's enough space in-between where you have to tap that you'll have to move your own hand rather than just your thumbs. Probably doable on a 7" tablet, but my Nexus 10 might be tough.

Yeah you start with a lot of updates and stuff but this game contains a lot of content once you get through the beginning you won't see the update screen that much. also check out this video i posted in the op you can see that it is perfectly playable with a small screen. I can complete hard levels fine on my 4,5inch screen phone but expert is still to hard for me to complete and that is not because i am not adjusted to the screen.

I wonder if there is a case for allowing tablet owners to play in portrait. So you'd have the top half not used (stays black or has some background image), and the bottom half would be more like a small tablet/large phone

I've been playing this game on my iPhone for over a year now and it's pretty addicting with the events and what not.

I'm surprised it got localized. I guess the idol craze is moving cross borders now that the AKB48 app reached like half a million downloads and what not.

2. after reboot go to play store > install SuperSU
3. run SuperSU > uncheck enable superuser
4. Setting > apps > manage apps > superSU > force stop
5. run game & it works. before step 4 the game still didn't run for me

Well i guess you still havent unlocked the later stages this game gets pretty hard. Or they still haven't released that on the english version but i do not have the skill to complete expert levels and some hard levels withouth the use of special idols who recover your health bar.

Two songs in, it looks pretty bad, to be honest. Wondered how would it compare to Shiny Festa, but while I like that it has more inputs (2 in SF wasn't enough and got pretty boring after a while), everything is just worse IMO and it turns out, the too simple Shiny Festa was actually more fun.

Sure, it may get better later, but quite frankly, I'm not really interested in playing further.
Also, I don't even like the songs much, but that early it means I haven't heard anything yet.

Yep! I just find some otoge hard and some easy. I can play this or jubeat or sdvx pretty high level but even baby mode pop'n or iidx I can do.

Yeah, that's basically disabling SuperSU, which I don't want to do since other important things depend on it. I'll try the game out on my non-rooted tablet.

As a fan of the series already, this is a lot of fun.

It's essentially Puzzle & Dragons mixed with a rhythm game. I very much approve. I'm not that far into it yet, and the possibility is always there that I might tire of it, but for something that's free, it's definitely worth a try.

Sorry i don't know much about rooting so sorry about giving advices you could do not much with. Tablets should be more easy to play because of the bigger screen and buttons.
