LTTP: Batman: Arkham Asylum

Yeah I agree. Everything in this game is basically perfect. I've been playing on hard and honestly, I prefer it this way more than either easy or normal. It only took a couple fights to learn the timing of the counters, but it's like you get that "bat sense". Also, the 40 hit combo trophy was really easy for me to finally get since the thugs take many more hits to take down.

I love this damn game so much. Can't wait to play the AC GOTY edition and start a NG+.

Just finished it, save for the beatdown challenges. Love/hate those things--great fun, but the bar is set so high for even a damned bronze, at least relative to my skill level. Have yet to piece together a 40 hit combo, so that might be a decent indicator.

Can't wait for AC, but I'm going to work on my backlog before digging in.

Yeah it's not bad, and for the most part it's great, but sometimes I feel like "slips" if you understand what I mean.

I chalk that up to voice direction. He was awesome in JLU and those DC animated films which were just a few years before these games.

Batman comes across as too emotional in the weirdest ways (like when Oracle suggests the possibility that he may have been under someone else's influence
and killed someone
).

Maybe she just stinks without Andrea Romano voice directing, but Tara Strong is doing a much better job in Arkham City.

I think that's it. Kevin Conroy's Batman is off as well. It's even more noticeable in AC since he says more there.

EDIT: Whoops, don't even remember posting last.

Just finished up my second 360 playthrough that I started in August with the Game of the Year Edition. I even played through the entire thing in anaglyph mode. Some parts were really well done 3D-ish but most never really conveyed much depth. Also, since a good majority of the game is played in "detective mode" it kind of made the whole thing moot anyways.

Anyways, beat it on Saturday and on Sunday I decided to reboot my original non-Game of the Year Edition and play through it on hard. I was able to get to the first major boss fight before realizing that hard is actually kinda hard, heh.
