We have arrived at the point that the OP double-post bumps their own thread

Wanted to say that I thought the first couple episodes of season 2 were a drop in quality by seeming more broad, quippy-er, and sitcom-y, and it had me concerned, but that that was shortlived. Think it was a strategic choice to get people re-acclimated they wouldn't have binged sesson one right before like we can now.

Season two as of just finishing episode 9 is as strong as ever (and also that Olyphant video earlier makes sense now, and likely can't possibly apply to anything else thus far lol).

Gonna miss this show at the end, for sure.

Seasons 1 and 2 were great, I felt a bit deflated by season 3 but it is what it is.

We will never get shows like this again, the times have shifted.

Just finished it and the movie for the first time.

Reminder to my future self: When people say something is one of the GOATs, they're probably right.

Excellent show. I'd heard mixed things about the movie, but thought it was a satisfying endcap. It left some things unresolved, but that's fitting to Deadwood's legacy at this point, eh?

It's just about as good of a conclusion as I could hope for, if not getting more seasons of the show. It doesn't wrap up everything completely, but gives much more closure than was there before.

It's like what Serenity was for Firefly.

Deadwood was stopped too soon and a lot of narratives were unfinished. The movie closes some narratives and let us have a proper goodbye to everyone.
