Dropped off in season 2 or 3. (and amazons fucked up app running on amazon's fire stick is partially to blame).

Did it get better or worse in season 4+?

First episode was god awful, but it picked up after that. I feel like there's a lot of bad dialogue this season though. Overly stupid and over explaining the obvious. I feel like the show has started treating its viewers like they're stupid and need to be spoon fed everything.

I'm sort of a fan of the first seasons but ended up depressed when the Netflix seasons appeared. I'm not a woman in her 40-50's, and sadly I think that's their target group now. I recently tried to watch the first episode from season 5, but had to turn it off from disgust.

I'm currently watching season 4 and, oh boy, it didn't take very long for the show to get woke after Netflix took over. Episode 4x08 about the police brutality towards afroamerican citizens was so bad with pushing the propaganda down your throat I'm leaning towards dropping it. Not to mention I didn't watch season 4 with big enthusiasm before that happened and I easily binged seasons 1-3. Lucifer and Chole doing their own things and kinda forcing themselves to work together just isn't fun to watch.

I don’t remember the events of 4x08, but the police doing bad stuff was baked into the show from the start with Dan. Was the episode actually woke or did it just talk about police and black people, like has been a trope for god knows how many years? I’m happy to be wrong, as it’s been a while since I’ve seen it, but jumping to “woke” seems to be common now.

It was definitely woke, two scenes actually:
- two white officers show up when Amenadiel and some black kid are walking down the screet
- the officers are very hostile while they're arresting the kid who doesn't fight back
- white officers want to arrest and ultimately shoot Amenadiel for "resisting arrest", ofc he's posing as normal defenseless person
- in the police station Amenadiel gives a rant when talking to Dan about racism and police brutality
I mean I don't think I'm trying to find reasons for calling the show woke. I've went through earlier episodes in the season and I never had that the same problem. The scenes were literally injected to comply with Netflix's propaganda.

Oh and speaking of Amenadiel, I don't know what happened to him between seasons 3 and 4, but he want from being a chad to being a hobo looking older guy. ;)
