Oh, so that's Kenji Ito up there, the guy who did the soundtrack and the ones for the other RSaGa games, FF Adventure, FFL2, etc.

This is a SaGa game, so I'll probably be wowed by the art and music and interested in the systems on a mechanical level, but will get sick of the encounters way before the end.

well I'm still waiting on SaGa 2 and Romancing SaGa 2 remakes. Despite the Kawazu haters, those are two of the best games Square ever released.

Did SaGa lose its reputation overnight in Japan? Because last time I checked, despite Unlimited SaGa, it was still one of Square's most popular franchises... in Japan.

Well I didn't put enough time into to hear a wide variety of songs, but what I did hear sounded good...though not to the point where I'd buy the ost.

But the pre-order bonus with the game was a 13 track battle music collection which has music from S2,RS1-3,FS1, and RS:MS. One of the 3 RS:MS tracks is the MS version of the final boss theme(?) from RS1 that's also on the disc. It's quite nice and maintains the feel of the original song while giving it a full modern sounding production with a variety of instruments. If there's a place on the web where I can dump a 3-4 meg file, I'll rip it after work and upload it.

wow... john was right... the man tried too hard to make the game "stand out" but ignored a lot of fundemental stuff...
