is there a rule on ressurecting old threads?
I've been banned for it, and it was actually for a decent cause. But then again the ban was of spite, IIRC. I don't think Mike has an axe to grind against doncale.

Yes. Lets say, for instance, someone just saw The Incredibles today. There's absolutely nothing wrong with bumping the old Incredibles thread, even if it's a month old by now, to voice your opinion, as long as you make your post worth it. If you were to bump it with, "good movie" and nothing more, you'd be risking getting banned. But if you were to write more than a few lines and actually give a solid opinion, that'd be cool.

Same with bringing new information to a topic. For instance, the Scott Peterson trial, there was a verdict today. No one would get in trouble for bumping a Scott Peterson thread instead of making a new one (though there's nothing wrong with making a new one either, since a verdict is not the same thing).

I'm watching Star Wars Episode 2 for the first time ever tonight, and I was thinking about bumping that Star Wars Episode 3 thread with the new pictures to voice my opinion on Episode 2. So basically bumping old threads as long as you have something worthwhile to contribute is completely allowable.

Bumping month old threads with

:lol :lol LOOKS LIKE HE'S JAIL HOME ALONE NOW ROFL :lol :lol :D

is obviously not a smart thing to do.

If I wasn't clear enough for anyone, feel free to ask more specific questions, since I don't want people to be doing this stuff in the first place, and would rather it just not happen instead of having to ban someone each time it does.

Um... It is 17 grams of pot.... and some perscription pill, you all act like he had an eight ball of crack.

BFD - IMO I have more than 17 grams stitting next to my keyboard and I am a productive member of sociery.

Probably the obvious: driving to California. Oklahoma's central location means a lot of through-traffic. Which means a shitload (too many) cops who'll pull you over for even 5 over the speed limit. And if you've got out-of-state plates, you'll be searched.

If you're going to be driving through OK with any controlled substance, put the cruise control 1 mph under the speed limit.

Hee hee, it's the truth. I was driving across the Arkansas state line on I-40 in the morning on my way to New Mexico when the dry oak/juniper thickets in the medians to hide patrol cars behind and my South Carolina tag nearing Memorial Day made me realize I was a juicy target. So I slowed down to the speed limit, only to have the Tennessee driver behind me blow past in annoyance at me. He got pulled, I didn't. :D

How do you think he even came across this thread? Was he doing searches on this forum for Macaulay Culkin? That's odd...
