I never really liked flux. I can't stand and can tell when my screen is tinted blue or yellow and it bugs me. Maybe I'll turn it on and give it a chance. I dunno.

Looks like my Macbook Pro has reached the end of it's updatability. So no Sierra for me for now. Considering I got in mid 2009 it's done well.

Gave it 8 gigs of memory a few years back and a new SSD HD and it still runs like a dream. But no more new features until I update my machine.

Well if you read websites with white pages in the dark or low light it will save your eyes getting fried. I haven't tested it up against Night Shift but iirc Flux was more adaptable.

As someone who uses light themes everywhere, I love it, but I have to switch that stuff off minute I'm working on something in PhotoShop and the like, which gets really annoying.

I use the shit out of Night Shift on my iPhone, with the added dimming that comes with turning Zoom on in accessibility.

the hell of a nasty glitch. just accidentally fidgeted with some window on mission control and this happened.

a reboot made it go away. I should install the recent update.

Wowww Preview just up and STOPPED working

Beachballs all over the place

Goddammit I want to see how much battery I have left still. Don't make me upgrade.

I just realized that Sierra broke Java applets for me in the latest release of JRE (8u121). Seems updating to the latest beta solves it for a lot of people, but going up to 8u152 didn't do a thing for me.

Oh well.

anyone know how to just completely block my Mac from connecting to a certain wifi network?

For some reason my computer always tries to connect to the "xfinity" wifi thing even though I have my own modem/router in my house that it should be connecting to.

Under Network > WIFI > Advanced I have my home wifi network at the top of the list and the "xfinity" one at the very bottom, yet I always come back to find my computer connected to the trash connection that is the "xfinity" network.

Don't just move it to the bottom of the list, actually remove it

Sys Prefs > Network > WiFi > click xfinity > hit the minus sign.

Promise it'll literally never happen again after you do this, 'cause it does what Zeyphersan told you to do. Removes it. :")

I remove my BT hotspot link every time my Mac tries to connect to my neighbour's router, but it still will try again if I'm rebooting my own router etc.

So I don't know if this anything to do with this update, since I just updated and I almost never rent movies from itunes.

Why isn't the player in itunes such garbage? It takes like five or ten minutes to start playing after I scrub a different position.
