Mad Max 14min of Gameplay

The magic cloud power must have evolved, its being used for offline play. They must have tapped into that secret sauce.

I wish I could mute both the people talking. The host guy or whatever he is is annoying, and the other guy is just dull to listen to.

I just asked on Twitter if they had any plans on putting out a commentary free video of the Gamescom demo build. No idea if they'll answer but maybe if more people ask for one they might just do it.

Yeah, the coverage for this game is kind of quiet. Not always a good sign, but it looks great, so whatever.

Still holding out hope for no reason WB plans to give free copies of this to people who bought Batman on PC :| Looks like a much better product.

Hopefully they will. I like some of the elements in what I did manage to watch, but I couldn't hear beyond the presenters and they were turning me off to watching more of it.

This would have been the perfect setting to have shadow of mordors nemesis system. I'm surprised more devs are not doing it.

Otherwise it looks pretty cool. Keen to see more .

Thanks for sharing OP! I've been all about this since day one, especially after Fury Road. All in all it looks like it'll be good fun. I'm glad petty things like pop-in won't turn off my excitement. Personally I find that pretty silly. If I'm worried about anything it's the fact that it's published by WB.

Gonna wait for reviews, and unless its must-play (90+ MC) I will probably end up waiting til it's half price after Thanksgiving.

All I could think when the hunchback was talking was.

"Max dare not look behind him, for he too may turn into a pillar of who knows what spice."

Why you do this, man?! I cannot buy these many games! Argh, I really liked what I saw, I seriously hope that's an old build though, that pop-in (as discreet as it was) was quite noticeable.

I'm looking forward to this but I can't pick this over MGSV. Hope it reviews & does well tho. It'll be apart of my Black Friday haul

Combat looks way too fast, snappy, and flashy. Same with the UI. Very AAA gamey, was hoping for something more grounded/cinematically presented.

Not feeling this. :(

Edit - I know this post sounds buzzword-y but I legitimately mean what I'm saying. I had different hopes and expectations for this game.

Looks ok, but releasing on the same day as MGSV is a pretty big mistake I think.

I might pick it up after Christmas when the price drops and I've cleared through the bigger games like MGSV and Fallout 4.

Man, perhaps yet another game to add to the purchases this year :| I'm not completely sold though. As much as it looks great, seeing that quest map worries me. Hope it's not going to be Ubisoft type design all over, with a bunch of endless repetitive side quests over an over, being essentially unimaginative filler. Will wait for impressions and reviews.

Guys, is the combat filled with QTE? It looks great but it turned me off every time he went to combat and the button prompts appear.

Really? freaking REALLY?

He got into the hot-air balloon and I was like "yes! This will be aamzing you can ri....wait, ah crap it's just a generic AC style map unlocker."

Why do so many open world games have to use this copy + paste style "map unlock" mechanic? It's archaic, it makes NO SENSE and it serves up super-repetitive gameplay, doing thie same thing over and over and over.

You should be able to spot things with your binocs regardless if you are in a hot-air balloon or not, getting a vantage point, whip out your binocs and scout the land to see what you can see, it shouldn't require you riding up a hot air balloon.

I'd love if they made the balloons actual vehicles, of coures able to be taken down + not exactly fast or nimble either, not quite the gyrocopter from The road Warrior.

I just wish these kind of open world games would stop using such repetitive mechanics to pad out the open world and instead focus on unique/varied things.

Looks like a ubisoft open world game:\ (chores and grocery lists the game)
The main problem with turning the entire map into a collection of chores is that it just kills any incentive to explore and any feeling of adventure.
For all its flaws and fetch quests at least in Rage you had cool areas to explore and a sense of adventure as well as solid gunplay -well except for the baffling decision to make first shots randomy miss- (and great AI)

I also feel bad for people with OCD, they'll feel compelled to complete all those chores in these types of ubifiller games

As an open world sandbox... I look at this then I look at just cause 2 (not the new one, just cause 2 from 2010)
The gameplay and sandbox-ness look so pedestrian in comparison

After watching the video, I for one think this could kinda be this year's Shadow of Mordor, if you know what I mean.

I like what I saw.

I don't know that I'd call it QTE. More like hand-holding. Kind of like what the Arkham & Assassin's Creed series' popularized, but even simpler and more obvious.

I really hope what we saw of the on-foot combat here is some kind of basic early game stuff, because it looked really basic and insubstantial.

I really hope I am wrong about this game, I want it to be good. but it looks like a boring wasteland with boring mini settlements

That would be awesome! Heck, any crime gangster game would be a good fit for nemesis system too.

Well I just pre-ordered the game. If anything just to support my fellow swedes in their efforts!

No but seriously, this looks fun. However, I am starting to feel this "grocaries-list" gameplay in open world games going stale and old. It worked pretty good in Far Cry 4 since I liked the gunplay and AI, so if the combat is great it could work.

But I have a sneaking suspicios feeling that the AI will suck balls. Running straight at me or just standing out in the open. The Just Cause games didn't have stellar AI so it's probably a safe bet,

Damn, there I go again. Almost arguing myself out of a pre-order.

I didn't notice the pop in initially, now you guys mde me look for it, took me half a second. Holy balls, that is some pop in. It's really distracting.
