Mad Max 14min of Gameplay

It is just the multitude of titles they have to compete with.

This

not to mention Everyone Gone to the Rapture, Rare Replay and Gears, Forza 6 (just to name some others)

I am keeping an eye on Mad Max, but with MGSV, and the games I've mentioned, I'm waiting for full impressions and probably a sale. Same with Until Dawn

Even if you can afford all of these, there is only so much time.

Guys i heard "If you can see it, you can go there!" Not so sure about this anymore...

haha yeah I'm excited about the game and I know about the "infinite map" or "smooth borders", but still I have no idea why a dev would say that nowadays, I mean what year it this ? We know what an open-world is x)

This doesn't capture the feel of Mad Max for me at all; especially Fury Road which had such amazing action sequences.

I'm a little dissapointed they resorted to adding a "side dash" to cars to ram people. I might be alone in having that be one of my gaming pet peeves though.

We haven't seen much about the game yet lol and fury road was an amazing film but it's was a massive action sequence doubt a game could keep that up .

Well it would be hard to keep up its pace, Fury Road is an amazingly blisteringly fast paced flick. I think people would complain if it was only a few hours long :P If anything this reminds me more of Road Warrior to an extent in its vibe.

Still, really looking forward to it. What I've seen appeals to me a great deal, I'm hoping they've got a good range of quirky side characters too. This and MGSV are my September games, everything else can get tee fuck.

I wonder if that terrible pop in will be there on the PC version with more draw distance.

If it isn't I'd totally pick this up, I like these type of games a lot.

Well yeah, but one is a two-hour film in which every single movement of every single vehicle is meticulously choreographed by a team of hundreds and the other is a many-hours-long videogame where the player could, if he or she chose, do nothing but sit motionless in the desert, forever.

It's like complaining that your road trip doesn't capture the feeling of a road trip you saw in a music video once.

That's a pretty good analogy yes.

I realize it may seem like a small detail but... that foliage pop-in is really bad, it is distracting to the point that I honestly don't think I can play this. I'd rather have no foliage at all instead of this.

It is hard to capture such a masterpiece into videogame material.

I guess I don't like the camera. There is hardly any sense of speed or chaos when ramming the cars. It doesn't help that you're driving in an open world game in all directions, instead of in one direction. Compare the car sequences in the IGN video to for instance, a video of MotorStorm and MotorStorm will come out as the more hectic (and IMO, better) one.

It still looks good though, if anyone should do a Mad Max game it's Avalanche.

I think you'll probably like it more out on the open road. The sequence in the OP takes place in some kinda narrow quarters, so none of the vehicles get much of a chance to build a head of steam.

Some of the official trailers show off a few high-speed battles that look pretty cool.

I am glad that it is not some quick movie tie-in. The game has been in development for like 3 years and should be doing it's own thing within the universe. That said, it all still looks very Mad Max to me and it's nice that we are finally getting such a game.

I've watched the videos several times now - I think this game looks like a total blast. Very excited that it's coming out so soon.

Can anyone confirm that there are no momentum based controls? I like responsive controls like shadow of mordor, batman, new witcher 3 controls
