Mad Max 14min of Gameplay

I'm going to blast fury roads's ost in the background on a loop while I'm playing this lol.

Definitely getting it. Along with MGSV of course.

Holy shit at the grapple at 10:15.

Game looks cool. The sidekick and him never shutting the fuck up will become really old, really fast.

Also - I hate the arcade-y UI; the annoying "5 HIT COMBO - NEW RECORD OMG WTF", the insane smears all over the screen when you punch someone, the super cheap broken glass overlay when your car takes damage. I hope you can disable all that stuff.

Did they change the color palate or something? I remember it being much darker. Looks really good.

It's going to be great. I am actually more excited for this than MGSV, as it has none of the timed upgrade garbage and microtransactions.

Yeah the color palette does look a bit different, overall it looks like the game has gotten a bit better looking than the previous trailers.

That Mad Max gameplay looks good. Combat is better than i expected, Max can use weapons he finds around, enemies don't wait in line to kick you, animations are good, characters look interesting.

I think they brightened things up to make it look a bit more Fury Road-like. Perhaps not coincidentally this comes out the same day Fury Road gets released on BluRay IIRC

Hmm this reminds me of the typical Ubisoft formula a little bit too much and the combat doesn't look as snappy and responsive as in the Batman games. Hope I'm wrong though.

There's something I really like about the dynamic between Max, your vehicle, and the mechanic traveling the wasteland just doing things. It's like games with a horse companion, except the horse isn't dumb as bricks and useless.

If the game is simply comfort food with a Mad Max skin, I'll be fine with that. Anything more is a bonus.

I originally had this and Metal Gear Pre Ordered but I realised that Metal Gear will take up so much of my time so I cancelled the Pre Order (Not charged, yay Amazon!) and I won't get to this until Next Year, probably in the Summer drought.

The combat looks great.

Shit, things appear 2 or 3 meters from the car. I hope it's not the pc version.

It's the PS4 version as seen by the DS4 in the hands of the player. The Xbox One version was shown during the Xbox Daily show today and looked slightly smoother. All other press material shown was PC.

It will be worth it for the car combat and customization alone.

Boring AC creed checklist stuff is what you do for most of the game, I hope the car combat can keep me entertained because something has to make up for that. But seeing as I'm gonna be playing this after TPP the game has a lot to live up to.

To me, the combat looks repetitive with lots of "QTE" which I don't know what to feel about. It also reminded me of a Ubisoft games with raising the balloon to reveal a region.
This video actually made sure, that I won't pre-order. I'll buy it when it's on sale some day though.

This is exactly my sentiments. Its nothing revolutionary but it looks like it would be a fun 15-25 hour romp through the wasteland.

The core combat looks pretty fun and thats a big issue for me. I can put up with some of the tired old "open world" game design choices if the core of the experience is enjoyable.

Looking better than earlier bits I'd seen. Still can't stand the design of Max. He looks so generic compared to other characters.

Ok then, because is really bad

Kind of just looks like mix of the same old tps tropes with a car in the desert. I'm sure there is more to it, but nothing here is really selling it to me

There is a lot of scavenging for upgrades, consumables for survival, gas and loot as well. Also lots of customization and the on foot gameplay looks great. There is more to it than that.

Man I am not a stickler for pop-in. But that is noticeably atrocious. The other stuff looked ok but its not impressive so far. That fight bit was fun looking though.
