This was so awkward.

oh god THIS EPISODE. THIS EPISODE.

best of the season so far, IMHO.

agreed. I'm really anxious to see how everyone else deals with the merger. I have actually been secretly hoping for something like for a while now. I have a feeling things will get ugly.

That was a fantastic episode - so many standout moments.

Loved seeing Roger back on form. I miss the days when he and Don worked together on a regular basis. Don, too, seemed re-energised by the opportunity to get Chevrolet (and Megan's BJ obviously!).

I thought it was interesting to see how focused Don turned Megan on. Shades of Betty getting excited about Henry's career progression in the last episode.

I am liking we are seeing more of Kenny, since hes one of the most likeable people on the show but where the hell is Ginesburg? Dude was like one of the most interesting characters they have so far.

He had a thing going for him last week. I guess they'll continue that storyline this season a bit at a time.

When a show as slow boiling and inward gazing as Mad Men has the occasional big on plot, snappy episode it is remarkably entertaining. Like going to listen to your favorite symphony and ending up having sex with a girl you don't know in the concert hall bathroom.

I read this in Glen's voice.

It was awesomely creepy.

Just watched last ep, holy mother of god, this season is GOOD.

Btw, fuck you Joan, Don was against you fucking Herb, and you gained a parnertship, shut up.

I like Bob's random appearances, he doesn't have a room at the office right? He's always walking around with coffees in his hands lol

Roger, master of seduction.

Don't do this to me please, not now! (there's people around)

Uhm, yea, great episode from where you see it *wink*

Why the long case?
Guys, can you help me out?

Where am I recognizing the Roger's girlfriend from? The one from the airport?

She looks so familiar, but I don't know her name. Has she been in any big shows or movies recently?

While I agree with this, I feel like Don is being set up for a reckoning. I mean, if it weren't for the moves of several other people all coming together at just the right time (Moves Don wasn't even aware of), Don would have been up shit creek with nothing to soften the blow of him having dumped their biggest client in a fit if egotistical impulsiveness.

I don't think he's heard the last of that.

Well, I know what we're all thinking. Might as well let it out.

What a great abstract piece hanging on the wall there. Anyone know the name/artist?

Have to say, I missed Roger's girlfriend's raison d'etre. Was he banging her just to get to Chevy? If not, was it an incredible coincidence? I don't understand how they got together...other than they were just banging and she just happened to help him.

Wasn't he seeing her to get info on another account, but then the Chevy stuff happened coincidentally so she tipped him off?

pretty sure he was using here to see what accounts are coming in to the city. she called him when the chevy guy was there.

Cross-thread plug:

If you haven't already, please, please, please check out Rectify on Sundance. If you don't get Sundance, the whole first season (six eps) is on Amazon for $10.

(Sundance is a sister network to AMC, so I feel it's somewhat appropriate to plug it here.)

Had to look up who directed this episode. Jennifer Getzinger. Of course.

She also directed The Gypsy and the Hobo and The Suitcase.

Just to be clear, I love the show still...

But is anyone slightly sad that the early 60's motif is gone? It doesn't have to be sad in the sense that the quality of the show is going or something, just as a personal taste thing.

You only like the beginning of things. :p

It's fun to see them transition from the 50s into what we traditionally know as the '60s.
