Native 4K on Pro like The Show and 2K? Hope so!
How do Frostbite games handle that now? When they announced Frostbite as the graphics engine last year, I figured it had something to do with the new, 4K capable consoles (Pro and Scorpio) because I'd imagine Frostbite has better graphics scaling than whatever graphics engine they've been using for Madden games in the past.
Of course I believe it. Most people I know aren't annual purchasers of Madden (they might be if it was even a mediocre game, but it's shit) and most people I know (that care about football) can't stand Tom Brady. I doubt either of those situations is unusual. Ergo, my point stands.
I can't imagine this would negatively affect sales. I mean, they had a legit murderer on the cover with Ray Lewis in Madden '05, one of the best selling Maddens ever (and one of the best Maddens ever too), and then he came back for a special edition Madden '25 anniversary edition. Madden '25 sold poorly (comparatively) but not because of Ray Lewis.
Also as much as people really strongly hate Tom Brady, he's the #1 selling jersey in the NFL like 3 years in a row, and not all of them are people in New England. He's also been in the top 5 jerseys for nearly his entire career... from like 2003 and on, every year. THere's just not enough people living in New England to buy a Brady jersey every year to keep him on that top 5, and #1 for several years in a row.
Brady on the cover won't negatively affect sales. Cover athletes haven't affected sales before (freaking Browns hybrid full back Peyton Hillis was the cover boy in M'12, a player that 99% of NFL fans couldn't name today), and if Brady affects sales, it's going to be positive, not negative.
