MLB the show. Now this is next gen crowds! Different game I know, but still....

What the hell are you even talking about...

Your first image ... is obviously not Madden 12 for PS2... it's like Madden for iOS or Android or something, it even has touch controls on the screen. Have you ever played a Madden game before that has green and yellow boxes around wide receivers?

Your second image looks almost nothing like what Madden '15 on PS4 looks like... the quality is like 1/10 of the original quality of that image.

The image of the crowd from M'15 is the same... it looks almost nothing like that.

There's obviously a depth of field in this image, but you can obviously tell that the crowd is very different from the screenshot that you posted.

Again this one above has depth of field focused on the player, but even then you can tell that the crowd is nothing like the image that you posted.

You're right that the crowd looks much better in a baseball game than in a football game, but there's a reason for that. Watch a football game on TV and try to find individual people in the crowd. Now, watch a baseball game. Spectators in a baseball game sit next to the field, in many cases players have to reach into the crowd to make a play. In football games, fans sit 20 yards or more from the field. In stadiums like San Francisco, it's a huge distance. Average attendance in MLB is less tan 30,000... Avg in the NFL is 60,000.

It's a private video, but the screenshot you've taken is highly compressed. And the 2nd PS4 screenshot isn't even a screenshot but it looks like it's been taken off screen with a camera, and then heavily compressed.

Why not just use the PS4 share button to take in game screenshots for quality? Or would that not fit your "poor graphics" narrative.

Let me get this straight, you've played the game... and your experience is that the crowd looks like the overly compressed horrible quality jpg that you posted?

Here's a screenshot from my computer of a youtube feed of a player standing some 75-yards away from the crowd:

Do you think that looks the same as what your screenshot was? Also, this is just 720p and again it's a screenshot from a still of a youtube video, so obviously it looks much worse than it does in 1080p in the game. Now, certainly, a shot of some ~10,000 fans in Madden does not look as good as a screenshot of some 30 fans in MLB The Show (which does have incredible, fully rendered fans, heck even on PS3 it looked great). But you're comparing apples and oranges if you're comparing a football game, where fans are some ~20 yards away and sitting in a stadium, to a baseball game, where fans are basically on top of the action. If you've ever watched a football game on television you'd notice that when watching the action it's almost impossible to see the fans in the stands.

In NFL games you hardly ever see fans in the stands because they're usually so far from the field. Searching for images of actual game broadcasts the only photo I could find was one of a kickoff, where the camera is panned further back

NFL Broadcast:

Compare this to an MLB broadcast, where the pace of the game and the proximity of fans means that fans are a part of a baseball game. With baseball,fans are a part of the game and a part of the broadcast... they just aren't in football unless it's a fan closeup, which Madden, NCAA, etc., have had in year's past as filler.

Also, let me know what you meant when you said that Madden running on iOS was Madden running on PS2.

It's just... really obviously not a PS2 game.

True, but it's from a website called like "AppleNGames" or something. I just don't think you can post that and think "This is a PS2 game... with a touch joystick." It's like anybody who has ever played a Madden game in 10 years knows that they've never had green and yellow boxes on the wide receivers or those indicators anywhere on the screen.

He didn't even say that. He very lays out that the crowd in MLB is much more prominent, with around 30 of them on screen at the time of the pitch etc. so the need for their visual quality is very much there whereas in NFL during a broadcast most views incorporate upwards of a 1000 spectators on the screen at the same time so visual quality doesn't need to be as good and they can focus on other things.

I am 3-0 with the Raiders beating the Jets, Texans, and Patriots. I am playing default all pro, 12 minute quarters and the play clocking automatically runs down to 10 seconds left. I gotta say I like the new D gameplay, though it might be over powered. I am averaging 5 sacks a game with the Raiders D, and in one game I got 6 sacks with Justin Tuck. I am hoping going to All Madden fixes this.

Also, what did you think of NHL? Cause I am considering returning Madden. Anyone know if Gamestop will take back a new game if I didn't like it and let me exchange it for something else? Or is this only with Used games?

I believe it's called connected franchise. Click on that and then choose offline, then it will give you three options: player, coach, or owner. Choose coach. From there it's basically a season mode.

Guess it's time for sliders to try and fix something they promised was already fixed...ugh.

There are sliders going to be released for sim players that better reflect it. I believe one of the sliders was QB accuracy set to 15 if I can recall correctly.

Not sure if this would help, but my buddy and I were playing online last night, perfect connection in the MUT game we did. Then we tried a game with regular teams and it was unplayable with lag. We were so confused but we both closed the application (madden) and went back in to try again. The lag was gone and we had no problems at all after that. Sooo If you get unplayable lag, try to close the game and re-invite your friend.

Check out number 79, he is the guy that punts the other player into the air. But check out what he does after, he magically slides across the field to make a block on another defensive tackle who is on the other side of the line all while never actually looking at him. What an amazing athlete.

The CPU was able to run a no huddle FG attempt after being tackled inbounds with only 5 seconds left on the clock. There is no way that would happen in the NFL.

I already knew that there was no "Pro Clubs" equivalent, but not even being able to play on the same team on unranked matches is ridiculous.

Yea. This happened to me on Xbone. I was trying to get to a formation but couldn't because my one press of the dpad would register as two.

I had 4 seconds between the whistle of the play being dead to the ball being hiked for the next play. Even if I picked the very first play on my play call screen, it would have been tough to audible to a specific play in time unless I had memorized all my audibles for that formation.

Not to mention look how horrible the camera angle is when the ball is snapped. My screen is still in some cinematic zoom camera angle despite the fact that the QB has already received the ball from a shotgun snap ( look at the 17 - 19 second mark of that video). I don't get a proper camera angle until the QB has the ball and is dropping back. I have no idea where the offensive receivers are lined until the play is already being executed. It's pretty hard to play defense when put in that position.

I feel like such a idiot for buying Madden. I didn't buy it for the past couple of years, and I forgot how buggy & crappy their gameplay systems are. I should have known better. I am a fool.
