Thats where I learned and played for 3 1/2 years. And its gotten a lot bigger at my old school, thanks in no small part to my brother getting his friends into it, including one of the most popular guys in the school.

I keep meaning to throw together a just for fun eldrazi token deck with eldrazi monument and raid bombardment

I made a red/green one with raid bombardment. Awakening zone, brood birthing, nest invader, emrakul's hatcher... also put in viashino slaughtermaster, marisi's twinclaws which also work nicely with raid bombardment. Added a couple R(x) damage type spells as finishers in case I don't draw raid bombardment or if I lose it. Also some equips like quietus spike and bones saw to power up the double strikers etc. Jaddi life strider for life gain.
It's fun to play with.

When playing green at all, it is so rare that you only play one creature.
I love using Fauna Shaman to pitch a Vine into the graveyard to grab something and then playing whatever I pitched and another elf and having the Vine right back in play.
Plus, at gg2 he can easily be out turn 3 and wrecking things.

Nah, we're talking about the special edition with the alternate art just for "gameday" this weekend. Normal one from beseiged is only like a $1.50 IIRC.

I'm pretty happy tonight, I bought a fat pack and got Thrun. Bought two booster got a Massacre Wurm. Then played the draft and got a Venser and my 4th white sun zenith. I got some white wall promo tonight that's an 0/4 and when it enters play you draw a card and traded it for 3 faction boosters and pulled a green sun zenith and mirran crusader. Both of which I've been trying to pull from boosters for my green and white decks I built.

Edit: And one kid gave up a mirran crusader and convinced the next kid to take it just to screw people playing white. I was next. And wall of omens was the card I traded.

Awesome. I sort of want to clean out the Wal-Mart near my girlfriend's place of their Worldwake boosters for a shot at Jace, but I can't rationalize $6/pack for them (Canadian MSRP, thanks Wizards).

Could either have multiple and have a rule you can only take one per turn until you have them all or maybe hold them without losing them for X turns?

Edit: Or a twist on the holding it, maybe have pay 2, equip to creature and creature most hold it for 5 turns to capture and win but when the warzone is equipped then that specific creature can be attacked like with a planeswalker and you can send people to block him like a planeswalker. Or maybe hold for 3 turns that way and then first to 3 captures?

Yeah, the normal besieged box is $10 less. I'm just scared of getting a really shitty box, and my silly mind is operating on the likely false belief that faction packs will yield better results. I'll make a last-minute decision tomorrow at the store.

Eh, it's all luck. I only got 3 mythics in the box I bought a couple weeks ago. I got Tezz and then two shitty mythics, I forget what they are off the top of my head. Another person got 5 mythics in their fat pack. Since it's not a huge difference in money, I would just do the one that you feel more comfortable with. Who knows maybe it will pay off after all.

Agreed. IF you hit 1 Tezz in a box, you are probably still behind. No Tezz and ouch. The odds of pulling 2 tezzs are horrible if you want to come out on top.

This is a good point. From packs and drafting, I already have everything you listed (multiples, even) minus the Blightsteel, Tezz, and Green Sun's Zenith.

Still, paying $40 for a single card I want for the sake of having it is kinda hard to swallow when I could pay less for a fattie and gamble for Tezz plus other utility cards (I need 2 more GFTT, more Knights would be great, more money cards in general would be great). But of course, there's the likely chance I *won't* get Tezz or any other money rares/mythics. Derp.

Edit: So I wound up picking up 6 packs of MBS, 3 of which were Japanese. Pulled Thrun, Hero of Oxid Ridge, and Phyrexian Vatmother from the English packs, and then a Spine and two Galvanoths (boo!) from the Japanese boosters. Not a bad haul at all. I also picked up a starter deck of Vampire because my pal wanted to play it.

I'm definitely not buying a box anymore. I know eventually I'll get my Tezz eventually, one way or another.

Ya, I've got kind of a similar mindset. I'll buy singles if they're important and a buck or two (or less). But I can't bear spending that much on a single instead of taking my chances with packs since I enjoy opening packs.

Yup, placed high enough to get full art of both. I wanted to go faction too but I tested my mirran deck after getting there early and there was literally no way I would have gotten the black sun if I didn't play my wurm deck. If it was me I'd get rid of more of the spells that do +1/+1 and stuff you have for cards that proliferate. I think you need to proliferate if you're playing infect.

Counter poison does not work well at all in my opinion.
Infest has to be in your face, constantly pushing, you need small fast creatures, and then pump pump pump.
Proliferate is quite nice with it in some forms .
Blue black artifact infect is something I have stewing right now, just waiting for the right punchline.

I love having three days a week off, but the weekends really hurt the Magic tourney life.
Luckily at least I have Friday nights off, and there is a shift bid coming up so maybe I can pull a weekend day off for the first time in the six years that I have been here.
