I feel like hard removal like Go for the Throat/Doom Blade will be more effective in the main deck than Geth's verdict is, but it really depends on how many Geists you expect to run into.

I also feel like Go for the Throat is going to see much more usefulness than Doom Blade is simply because there are way more Black creatures than there are playable artifact creatures. I'd suggest replacing Doom Blade with Go for the Throat and maybe putting a Geth's Verdict or 2 into the sideboard to bring in the Throats mainboard.

Also, a single Killing Wave side board will give you super easy wins against token matchups. Like, "play Killing Wave and win immediately" easy.

Also, don't zombies keep Killing Wave around to make a whole bunch of Blood Artist triggers to win games? An X=0 Killing Wave can be enough to win a game if you've got an army and a couple of Blood Artists.

Pretty much this. Paired with burn from R and you have a pretty sick deck. I main deck Killing Wave and it has been a pretty good windmill slam topdeck winner for me =)

Took first in a 8-4 last night with a crazy U/G Miracle Control deck. One guy laughed at me for playing 4 Fleeting Distractions but man they won me games! Other highlights included 2 back-to-back miracle Vanishments, 2 back-to-back miracle blessings of nature and getting Tamiyo to 11!

New Online TCG Solforge just launched a kick starter. Brian Kibler is part of the dev team and it has Richard Garfield attached, hope the gameplay is as good as Magic because they will probably do the online play + collection better.

Thanks for the advice! I'm going to tweak the deck with a friend tonight to get a more final build ready and will notify you all how it is going to be changed.

I made a comment on Reddit in the SolForge thread about PvE and Brian replied, I feel so special.

Just bought the Floop the Pig shirt for GenCon.

That could definitely be really cool. Hopefully I can check the demo out at GenCon and then I'll probably back it. I might put up a thread for the Kickstarter over on the gaming side if there isn't one by the time I'm home from work.

Relatedly, GenCon in a couple weeks! Woooooooo!

So you know what the worst part about Door to Nothingness is?

You never actually get to crack it. When it hits the table, your opponent either auto-concedes, or they answer it and you lose. You never get the satisfaction of putting "You Lose The Game" on the stack.

Yes, I've been playing bad standard 5-color control decks in the casual MTGO rooms. Problem?

Well, you get the satisfaction of getting your opponents to concede/rage quit i guess lol

I played this guy yesterday who was running some sort of janky exalted deck, with a bunch of the enchantments, lands, and defenders with exalted, hoping to jam some sort of fatty and just roll in for a bunch. When his lone attackers kept getting killed or O-ringed or Tamiyo'd, he bitched about how cheap my deck was and said "I bet you have that cheap auto-win artifact too." When it landed, he proclaimed "Called it!" and bounced.

That moment was kinda fun, I admit.

I popped up a quick thread for this. Sounds really awesome.

Hmmm, not sure if want. I'd like to see some sample cards first.

I only got time and money enough for one TCG. But, this has got to be worrying WotC a bit. Probably not a bunch, considering the graveyard is filled with the bones of their competitors, but Garfield and Kibler being behind it gives it somewhat of a pedigree.

But maybe it worries them just enough to stop fucking around and begin treating this whole "digital" thing as something important and not something to treat like an afterthought.

The fact that solforge is asyncronous is pretty big for me. I've spent a pretty ridiculous amount of time playing ascension on the john at work.

I'm not too happy about the deck building style of playing and discarding. Played way too many deckbuilders to want to play this, despite Kibler and Garfield being behind it

Holy shit. Did M:tG:Online give out a booster pack? Shards of Alara Booster Pack (Premium) is in my collection and for the life of me I can't recall it being there this past month...?

That was last month during their anniversary promotion. If you had an older account, you'd get slivers or graveborn foil decks too. You should've got an ancient ziggurat and a un-land, too.

I didn't see an Unland, I do have the Sliver/Land that's foil.

But mysteriously one of my event tickets has left. :/

did you check your graveyard?

I'm thinking Penny-bot stole it without me even doing any trades. I wanted to see what he had and said "done" thinking it was the way to cancel a trade with a bot.

Or I never had 6 event tickets like I thought and only had 5

It probably did take it if you said "Done" instead of "Cancel" (but it could only have done this if you marked it as tradable, and you would have seen a confirmation screen). Try opening another trade with it and see how much credit you have. It's an honest bot, so if you did trade it a ticket for nothing, you'll have a 100 card credit from it.

How do I check credit? D:

Just trade with it and take a card, the bot will tell you how much credit you have.

Took a card. No mention by the bot of any credit. But I didn't finish the trade because I didn't want to it to take another event ticket since I didn't have 100 cards selected. So... I guess it didn't take a ticket?

It must not have. Like I said, it's honest; it's affiliated with MTGOTraders, and those guys run a tight shop. I've purchased a good amount of singles from them, and they've been great to work with.

Hmm... I could swear I had 6 but maybe I'm misremembering and only have 5 and that promo booster pack threw me for a loop.

It's not a big deal if it did since event tickets are only a $1.00 but still, if I have credit I'll get it sometime this month with a paycheck and have 200 cards to get. Oh well.
