I don't know much about Isamaru decks, but if you're going for quick Commander damage, one option is to build it as a Voltron-style deck. With White, you gain access to stuff like Steelshaper's Gift, Stoneforge Mysitc, Stonehewer Giant, and Quest for the Holy Relic. Round out your list with powerful equipment cards, and you can produce a mean general that keeps coming back to lay on the damage while still being relevant late game.

They're kinda expensive. I'm paying $40 for like 120 sleeves, I think. Hopefully they'll be cheaper once he's established himself a bit better.

It was kinda funny, when I first pledged, I sent him a message asking him if the size of image I had would be okay. He responded and told me that it was fine, and that he was happy to see I wasn't requesting any kind of lewd image, as a majority of the pledgers at that time were trying to get some kind of Hentai sleeves, haha.

Team Sealed has started, pretty cool dynamic with how they can talk to the 'couch' who got knocked out yesterday while playing.

Played my first M13 8-4, lost 2nd round 1-2 cos I flooded out. Angelic Benediction can suck a dick. Pulled the green 4/4 flash dude and a Trading Post.
 
It is weird being at Gen Con and playing random casual drafts and then being able to look across the aisle to see a bunch of the best players in the world playing.

Also, getting blown up two games in a row by Trumpter Blast is the worst.

Trumpet Blast may be terrible, but you still have to recognize it as a card and play around it.

It's definitely not terrible as a 1 of. Cost me a match last night in my draft. Some terrible luck cost me the one round to go 2-2 and the other match was the person who went 4-0 and won the draft. He was passed crazy red and green aggro that was obnoxious. The match of bad luck I needed on creature to kill him at 2 life and I drew 8 straight lands after he encrusted my last creature.

Why does you draft go for 4 rounds? A proper draft should have 8 in a pod and take 3 games to find the winner.
 
Looks like hybrid mana is back. Too bad we can't really see what they do.

Yeah its a pain in the ass when they get a good draw. Good thing they're glass cannons though. Honestly slow pain of death due to consistency annoys me way more.

Like back in caw blade they'd drop a JtMS and you'd be like, fuck, I can't just concede even though I very well should. It's a slow, painful teeth pulling death. At least infect is quick.

Isn't that quite the balls to the walls deck? It's fine that they can do that every once in a while, it's the best those super aggressive decks can do honestly.

I played my RDW in last standard and took games here and there with ridiculous explosive starts. Then lost the rest to one sweep.

Is it from the booth though? Because I thought the announcers were in the booth and even they constantly say, why are these life totals wrong? I'm not sure who's job it is but the announcers and everyone else seem confused why it's never updated. Even if you're watching from a stream you watch the players themselves write down new totals and then like 2 turns later the score is finally corrected on the screen.

Edit: Video keeps cutting out when Zac Hill is explaining how they made M13. :/
 
Every time Zac Hill laughs it sounds like he's trying to force it, or something. Maybe it's just his genuine laugh, but I can't unhear the effort in it :(
 
I wish they had Zac Hill and Marshall commentating the games, they add so much more then these two guys.

Made someone rage quit for the first time in a phantom sealed. He was winning with g/w beats then I stabilised with Captain of the Watch, we stalled out while I beat down with 3/3 Aven Squire (he had no flyers), then I draw Rhox Faithmender (I have 2 lol) followed by Divine Favour and he disconnects. I was in a pretty good spot anyway as I had Planar Cleansing in hand waiting for a 3rd plains and a Hellion Crucible ready to crack.

I made a person rage quit the other day with the trial version of the game after they released you can't leave a creature with celetial mantle unblocked for 4 turns.

10 tix flat for my deck. Anyone wanna practice with me?

Also, I forgot to get sunlances/bodyguards/unicorns and I do not want to break a ticket to get them lol. Anyone have some they want to trade?
