Someone didn't want to have long rounds.
Oh, oh no.MaRo said:There is a new Planeswalker in the block. You just haven't met them yet. Why weren't they in Amonkhet rather than Hour of Devastation? Story reasons.
MaRo said:At one point, we had Vehicles in the set, so, of course, we made some cool top-down Egyptian Vehicles. We later realized we were making the set a bit too complex, so we were looking for things to cut, and as we only had a few Vehicles, we chose to cut those.
Vehicles are here to stay, just like Equipment. Few pieces a set, probably powered down close to unplayable.Oh, oh no.
He's technically correct, if you needed to axe vehicles due to OPOPness, this wasn't an issue due to the rotation change.it's funny that in the same article he explained that cycling doesn't make evergree because there's only so much room for evergreen mechanics and the barrier of entry they present.
I've had to explain to a lot of modern players how crew works when I play my copters.
Right, which is why it needs to be crewed.but you need horses to move a chariot
a chariot by itself doesn't do anything
*pushes up glasses* Actually, it's "aetherpunk"
Anybody else going to the Open in Baltimore this weekend? I'm not smart enough to read the recent results and metagame accordingly so I'm just going to take Affinity and see what happens lol.
Some of us still haven't accepted the removal of the æ ligature.
From basically everything I've seen, Death's Shadow(Specifically Grixis)/Eldrazi Tron/Abzan CoCo are currently superstrong. Dredge/Affinity need answers in the sideboard or they will roll you for not respecting them. Not going, but I haven't kept up with Modern recently and need to prep for Vegas alongside legacy. Would be interested in hearing what the meta is like these days during/after the tourney.
Probably just going to test/refine/take Grixis shadow to vegas, but I'm still a little open.
He's been a shithead on the periphary of the MTG community for ages. He's loathed. So apparently the Dipshit who made the comments about the concert bombing that everyone is retweeting streams MTGO...

Mind sharing who? Interested in seeing this trainwreck
Anyone here happen to have a Cavern of Souls or a Temporal Mastery from MM3 and access to a decent scanner?
Look at literally anybody's twitter from today, lol.
Would an extremely high rez (4K) phone shot work?
Yep, if you can hold your phone steady, thanks.
it does but it's also a card that doesn't develop the board at all so you might just lose anyways. It's very good but not an auto win.Why aren't more people running Dispossess in their sideboard? Wouldn't that beat out marvel and get rid of gearhulks or am I missing something here?

Should I get my hair cut like this token
Do you live in a post-apocalyptic wasteland or in an Egyptian city ruled by gods where everyone has to participate in a deadly game? If not, you should probably just go with a normal hair cut.

Goddamn, so that's minimum $120 if you want to go to the prerelease? Not a chance. And man, those three crossover cards are tempting to try and flip, but not $600 tempting. Not rolling the dice on that.
Too bad, I was actually considering it. That blind prerelease would be such a cool experience.
Three MAGIC: THE GATHERING cards made especially for HASCON featuring a mashup of MAGIC: THE GATHERING and three awesome HASBRO brands!

Also we still have no clue about events/VIPs, and it's three months out. As tempting as it is to spend $650 to get some cards with print runs that are likely in Summer Magic territory, I'm gonna have to miss this one. I'll probably regret it when the inevitable MLP crossover card ebays for more than the ticket cost.
