Nice, thanks! Looks like a lot of fun and fairly cheap to assemble.
What's the black for in GB Tron? While I'm not supporting SCG any more, I had to look to see how Joe Lossett did and he won! So good for him. Also GB Tron in Modern? Interesting...
What's the black for in GB Tron?
So he makes lotus petals? What? How is this U/B at all...?
What I'm trying to say is that everything you love about Frontier today is fleeting. In fact, I'd argue that you don't love Frontier, but that the things you think you love about Frontier are simply byproducts of the newness of the format. It's essentially a honeymoon. Every marriage looks great during the honeymoon, but expecting the honeymoon to last forever is a sure way to end up dissatisfied over the long haul.
Oh, and Saffron Olive wrote a scathing article on Frontier today that does a great job summing up my issues with the format, and even bringing up ones I didn't think of

His eventual proposal is that he wants old extended- can have up to 8 years of cards, rotates every 4 years
vorel-of-the-swole-clade asked: So now that Kaladesh has been out for awhile, is there anything that could have been done better in terms of design and development?
In retrospect, I probably wouldn’t have done Vehicles at common.
Are we under the impression Modern will be replaced with something?
No, people are flocking to frontier primarily because of Standard's issues. Are we under the impression Modern will be replaced with something?
I think that Tezzeret could be pretty good. It's a weird design so I can see why people would have trouble evaluating it.Yeah that is an... interesting card? I don't think it has a home right now, but it's a playable card for sure.
It seemingly does nothing in Standard without clues, and when the card was designed, they were under the assumption that Clues would rotate out 3 months after this card came out. This probably means something.
AoB would be busted a f with Clues.Wow it's a worse Agent of Bolas and the format doesn't even have two mana mana rocks. Also the art is horrendous. Good job.
Black still gets a bit of this, as seen with the gold tokens in Theros block.
If they make bans we wont be talking about Frontier in 2 months.tezzeret actually carries a mox with him, maybe he also has a lotus and hence can make petals
Also not sure whether people realize that talking so much about frontier only legitimizes it as a format.
Don't think it's popular enough for bans yet, the format is just picking up steam across the world. If they make bans we wont be talking about Frontier in 2 months.
Hareuya twitter is promoting Liliana of the Veil for 8000 yen today- which is like 68$ on conversion rate. Even with EMS shipping that's an insane deal unless we expect her price to TANK in 3 months (cheapest NM play set on tcgplayer is $82 each)

For those who don't remember, we've already seen a red version that pings for 2. I'm not sure if we'll see a full cycle, or if this will only appear in "artifact colors".
Probably a cycle.
She's a lock for MM3, but I doubt that'll tank her price. That's a good deal.
Tezz ultimate is garbage his minus great and not sure about the plus.
Had he cost 3 with fewer loyalty he'd be insane but at 4 I'm not sure how much a lotus petal still matters.
Two cards that were primarily done for flavor reasons does not make much, it's like citing Chaos Warp and saying red should be able to shuffle any permanents into a deck.
Eh, not really. The only color that's supposed to get zero mana acceleration is white. Green and red are top at it, while black and blue both have special limited areas that they get it (for example, blue can make fast mana for colorless stuff, especially artifacts.) The gold tokens are kind of an aspect of that -- black doesn't get rituals anymore but it still gets a little bit of acceleration in certain areas like this.
To me that should be restricted to GB factions like Golgari rather than mono-Black.I still think black should get "sacrifice creature(s), get X mana" type spells.

Depending on the context it's kind of like he's a 6-loyalty walker for 3.

I think if they'd print a creature with such an effect it would be red nowadays.
Aside from the two gold mechanic examples provided when was the last time black got mana acceleration like that?
Aside from the two gold mechanic examples provided when was the last time black got mana acceleration like that? I'm struggling to remember, other than I think one of the m1x sets had that bad Liliana of the Dark Realms that had a Lake of the Dead ultimate emblem or something.

The 5/5 artifact is permanent 5/5 right?
