A lot of these pro's sound like entitled pieces of shit.
I met LSV at PAX. He came off as a giant douchebag.

Anytime I see that someone is banned, I just automatically assume it's for whatever post I'm reading of theirs at the moment, even when that's obviously not the case.RIP In Peace Kirblar
I will never forget your pink roundness.
Apparently the mods don't like the idea of relying on deckbuilding teams!A lot of the PT grinders want GPs minimized as much as possible because they don't want to have to travel to them.
(and yeah, because they can't rely on things like a deckbuilding team)
Alpha Investments is the only MTG Youtube channel you need. Your only source for hoarding hundreds of boxes of Ice Age, and how many dozens of cases of Kaladesh you should preorder.

I was looking for a decent MTG youtube channel and I came across
DesolatorMagic
This is a TERRIBLE channel. It sounds like Athur Gies had an unholy child with a conspiracy theorist and that child was really into MTG. He's not completely unintelligent, but I just can't get on his side with just about any of his problems, and he's always acting like he asks the 'important questions'.
Does anyone have a decent channel that discuss the state of the game, strategy, card reviews etc.
Ephiphany is X + 1 card so x being 1 will cycle, but you get the worse card out of the 2 revealed.Huh? No it doesn't. At X=1 you're basically paying 1U to to put the top card of your library into your graveyard, at least outside of cases where your opponent would prefer the revealed card going to your hand instead of the graveyard. Epiphany doesn't replace itself until X=2 and won't be sure of card advantage until X=4. Sure, at high cast values it can work because you reveal enough stuff that both piles are good but even that you can often be better off with one of the very expensive Blue "draw a bunch of cards" spells.

Which still doesn't make it a good card.
I've seen a few of DesolatorMagic stuff and he seem to hate the game more then anything. Complains a ton and not exactly helpful.
Kirbs you forgot the first rule of GAF: don't talk in politic threads
Didn't kirblar just get unbanned?
And I can't imagine LSV being a dick.

Players will need to keep track of their energy counter total at events. Unfortunately, energy counter token cards were inadvertently omitted from the initial print run of Kaladesh. They will appear in subsequent print runs.

Fucking up at the printers lolol
Other than the remaining two swords, anyone have any guesses what the Aether Revolt inventions are gonna be? Definitely a heavy focus on commander cards.
Pokemon Energy cards to be a real thing! WE BACK IN THE PAST NOW!

I do wonder if for competitive events people will start keeping track of energy on paper in the same way you keep track of life totals. And if the rules for energy are such that you have to clearly announce how much you have whenever it changes.
We might even have a Ayli + Felidar Sovereign situation on our hands. I would LOVE to build that deck.

What a joke. First the Monarch card, now this. I guess you could say the printers are making a... token effort.

But they don't really; Rings of Brighthearth is in the first batch despite Brighthearth being an actual location/tribe name on Lorwyn. There's no reason a robot can't be modular on Kaladesh any more than Moxen can appear on all sorts of planes, or anything that makes Living Weapons specifically something that could only occur on New Phyrexia. Nevinyrral isn't even an actual person in Magic.Arcbound Ravager, Batterskull, Grafdigger's Cage, and Nevinyrral's Disk all fail the "flavored on Kaladesh" test.
What happened to Kirblar?
And I also think many people who are in a position seemingly above you come off as douchey the first time you meet them. It's subsequent actions that shows your actual nature, and I think LSV is certainly better in that regard than the other pros.
I'd like some better art Engineered Explosives, the MM one is so dull and I still don't know what's going on in the Fifth Dawn one. Also, why is it still $50? I thought that spike was temporarily.
EE is pretty much in every sideboard these days.

You're so not getting chosen lol.

Living Weapons make Germ tokens which are explicitly a Phyrexia-only thing. Nevinyrral is indeed a character, there's a whole story about him in one of the old books that's a short story anthology. "Graf" is a weird Innistrad linguistic tic for "grave" that doesn't exist anywhere else, and like you mention it's an anti-zombie device so doesn't really fit.
I was excluding Arcbound since it's, like, a specific type of creature on Mirrodin, but that one you could maybe sneak under the bar the same way as Rings of Brighthearth, yeah.
I don't think Germs have a particular specificity to Mirrodin that would make all that much of a big deal. They're little black 0/0s.

It's not specific to Mirrodin, it's specific to Phyrexia. A "Germ" in MTG is a little vat monster Phyrexians grow to drive shit around. We can do that one when we come back to the Phyrexian Invasion Kaladesh block.
I think Thopter Foundry seems like an obvious choice.
Aetherflux Reservoir got some early cries for bans. 50 seems a bit low considering you start at 40 in EDH and gaining life can be quite easy.
I also don't think storm needs more toys in EDH but I doubt it will have that big an impact.
Have you readMike SigristEric Froehlich article couple months ago?
