we cant catch a fucking break
Still insanely cheap for 1 US Gallon, try 1.52USD for 1 litre...Gas is 2.89 in my area here in Texas.
Luckily I drive a hybrid or else this would suck way more.
People don't learn because they don't consider the fact that THEY are the hoarders. There is definitely some panic buying here in southeast ga. Lots of people filling up their tanks and fucking 55 gallon drums and all kinds of shit. We didn't learn shit from the tp shortage of last year.
Can't be worse than the toilet paper apocalypse last year
Social media fueled insanity. These shortages would be happening regardless of any pipeline shutdowns due to the panic driven demand spike.its scary how easily people are panicked.
Is there a particular theory why NC seems to be suffering the most from this shortage compared to other states so far? It’s insane that NC is hit with like double the shortages compared to all the surrounding states.
Colonial Pipeline Shutdown: Fuel Outages by State
Effects of the Colonial Pipeline shutdown due to Friday's cyberattack are being felt in several states in the Southeastern U.S. The following provideswww.gasbuddy.com
My first guess would be they have a population that, for reasons I don't know, seems more easily swayed by social media nonsense than surrounding states. Is there a particular theory why NC seems to be suffering the most from this shortage compared to other states so far?
I have a theory that this panic on social media is driven by bots.
- #gasshortage was trending all day yesterday and then removed sometime last night. All night nothing was trending and even into the morning.
- Now #gasshortage2021 is trending out of nowhere and if you look at the new post being made they seem to be bots.
- People see the hashtag trending and normal people jump on the bandwagon.
- This spreads to real people who then panic buy.
If we didn't have social media none of this would be happening.

You did this, didn't you. It's not technically plugged into the internet, all these kind of infrastructure networks are usually on secured intranet networks. The problem is that if a terminal connects to both the intranet and the internet it creates a vulnerability, even if they're not connected to both at the same time. if the terminal in question , which can often be a laptop, connects to the internet at some point, a backdoor, a key logger or other malicious tools can be installed and then used to eventually access the intranet.
