Major PS4 System Software Update v2.0 Available NOW

The different music and sound effect changes are pretty awesome. I can't wait to see how that is implemented for game specific themes.
 
Ever since this update, any time I try to scroll UP through my list of subscriptions at www.youtube.com/tv on the PS4 browser, the damn thing scrolls DOWN instead. And of course, holding down to scroll actually scrolls down.

I can't scroll up with the right stick. And it's only on that site. Sony (or Youtube) must really want me to use the dedicated app now instead of what I've been using for months.
 
It would be nice if the PlayStation App will had MP3 control support in second screen. Not only remote control but also the list with your music on your smartphone.

Just when you are playing a game, that you can easily select an next number or scrol through your music.

That's a really good idea but I don't see Sony deploying this kind of things.
 
Store sill wont load after playing a game for some time. And now the three option under the game stop showing up after looking at a broadcast in "whats new" instead of when the store failed to load.
 
The update seems good, but why did Music Unlimited, which I've never used, jump in the first place on the media bar? I really dislike when things are being pushed to me, like SingStar on PS3. And why change the stand-by mode settings by turning off the downloads, without informing the user about it?

There are still too many icons on the media bar. Just let me choose 3-5 apps that are always there, and the same amount of last played games. I'd also like to have the option to remove content from the library, as I'm never going to re-download those demos, alphas, and betas.

Well I was just in the process of connecting my account and saw a whole list of permissions I have to give to SONY so I bailed out.
 
The paper theme music makes me feel like I'm at an amusement park just having a great time, everyone's laughing and smiling.

The Call of Duty music scares me :(

Playroom has it in second screen ;-). You can use second screen for MP3 right now but just normal control.

I just want to see some dedicated second screen option only for MP3/Blu Ray playback. I mean...why not? we also have a virtual Mic app for Singstar :D

It's the same list of permissions you get when you link your YT to Twitter or Facebook.
I don't think it posts anything automatically.


Also someone was asking earlier if party chat can be heard while streaming, and the answer is yes.
 
Another little change.
Now there is only one single notification for PS+ upload files, not one for every different game with updated save file.

Try unplugging it and holding down the power button for a bit, read on gamefaqs that someone else had the issue and this worked for them. Grain of salt though.
 
Where dat Youtube app??!! Do I have to wait for the US store to update to access the themes and Youtube or did they get released with the update? I need that 1080p Youtube since the app I use in XBMC and the one on my TV are limited to 720p.

Rest Mode (aka the old Standby mode) is a little borked for many people. It gets "stuck". Unplugging it, waiting for 15 seconds or so, seems to work 100% of the time. SOMETIMES, holding down the power button for 10 or 15 seconds works too.

For me...it gets "stuck" about half the time. I'm just doing full shut downs til Sony gets it sorted.
