Sweet. Custom backgrounds. Now all I need is something like this on my PS4.

Sony, please deliver!
That's better anyway, assuming sufficient tags on the content. Bonus points if you can add custom tags.Folders, no. Automatic library organization with filter and search options, yes.
Can't be said enough. If Sony make this exclusive to the Japanese store then I will FUCKING END THEM!
Edit - That awful realisation that it took them almost an entire year to grant us the ability to pause downloads. Holy shit.
Oh god.. That is really making me hungry.. Gimme some of dat grillled corn smothered with butter. hmmm
Is there a catch with share play, that sounds too good to be true.
Has Z2 been confirmed? I mean it was pretty much understandable that it will come out for Z2 but has Sony stated it somewhere?
My Z2 itches...
yep ever since using Plex on WiiU years ago, I couldnt give a shit about DLNA, much better performance, no setup, better organization, etc.
According to this site, it is.

If they send out a push notification when the update goes live, you literally have millions of PS4s all hammering the server at once; they'd just DDoS themselves. You could send out push notifications in phases, but who gets to go first? It's really baffling how they don't have a push system in place for consoles on standby. We know that they can push stuff to the console due to our ability to remotely buy and download games. I'm curious as to why they don't apply that to updates.
Honestly the Youtube App is the thing I'm most excited for. Sometimes I want to take a break from a game and watch a vid or two and I don't want to turn on one of the other systems just do do this.
ths really is a massive update. There isnt much else i could want apart from suspend and DLNA.
Full info is released when the updated launches. Read the blog post.
Oh man, I forgot there was no folders. Dammit it all to hell. This might be my favorite theme. Neko so cute!
And folders
That guys still around spouting nonsense? He's so full of shit. If he says it's going to be in I'll assume it's not because he's wrong on about 90% of the crap he spouts
Easy, Turbo. They said we're getting two at launch. Can't be said enough. If Sony make this exclusive to the Japanese store then I will FUCKING END THEM!

that's a retweet of the official playstation twitter though..

This is so unfunny and kinda stupid at the same time when you realise why it does that.![]()
Stability 2.0
Should have been using Youtube.com/tv in the PS4 browser man. Search and find the videos on your phone/tablet and then they just play automatically on your TV.
I like it more than than the PS3 Youtube app
So wait, I'm confused. Pause downloads isn't in? Why was everyone saying it is?

It is in.
I use Plex and it's passable but I don't get 5.1 out of this setup. Hence I want DLNA or at the very least video support.
That isn't an official PS twitter, it's actually someone from here.

Or did you specifically mean the Toro theme? If so, just create a JP account and nab it.
Wait, what? I can make YouTube give me h.264 instead of trying to feed me Flash all the time?? Is this an account setting or something? Will this mean I don't need to keep telling Safari to pretend to be an iPad?If you opt-in to Youtube HTML5 Video Player, most videos will work from the normal youtube page as well.

Hell fucking yeah. Live entertainment right on my VITA while my wife watches stupid TLC shows....
This is awesome; bring on the European strippers!
EDIT: Can I stream myself on the LIVE app with teh front camera on my Vita? Not becaues I want to, but just because I want to knwo if I can...
Potentially stupid question:
Do we KNOW for a fact that the USB player enables custom soundtrack in-game? I ask since they never mention that in the promo videos for the update. They only show you playing music while the player is open.

USB Music Player*: Insert USB memory with music in your PS4 and start playing your favorite tunes in the background
15) No Custom Wallpapers
Users cannot upload their own PS4 background wallpapers, but a Sony representative said the team is looking at feedback and will make a decision in the future.

USB Music Player: PS4 owners can play their own music in the background while playing a game using USB Music Player*. After inserting a USB stick loaded with music into the PS4, a new option for USB Music Player will appear. Supported filename extensions include MP3, MP4, M4A, and 3GP.
