So far the update has been fine. The new background colors are definitely an improvement. The notifications have been cleaned up well too. Still going to mess around but I'm liking it so far. I accidentally launched into Playroom when it's update couldn't install. Now I have it on my trophy list, great.

Is anyone having trouble with the What's New section loading right now? That and or the game pages' overview?

Figured out USB Music. Didn't get it at first.

As others have said you have to make a folder on your USB drive called Music.
Have your MP3s in that folder. Plug USB drive into your PS4.

It should be your first tile.

That player has always been there, it's the same system-level one as Music Unlimited.

This is why I think HDD playback of media is somehow tangled with their whole DLNA stack. The codecs and support have clearly been there from day 1, as you can play lots of things via the browser.

Really? that's cool, I don't have music unlimited so it's the first time for me to see that player, as I wanted to try if I can play my own music in the USB while playing a game, which worked, closes thing to custom soundtrack for me. Can't wait to play Steppenwolf's Born to be wild while playing Driveclub.

You've been able to delete notifications since forever? Just press options on the notification and select delete?

Not on some of them. Game alerts, downloads, uploads, you can do it with. But the ones just under 'Notifications' don't have a context menu, so they're stuck there.

Hmm. Well, I mentioned it earlier but I recall something similar happening to me with the launch update. It never happened again so... hopefully it never happens again to you!

I've been going in and out of Rest for the past 30 minutes with no issues.

To the people who reported an issue: did you actually give it time to finish? It seems like it takes a tad longer to prepare for Standby/Rest after the update, and I saw one post mentioned that the yellow light was still pulsing, which means it was still in the process of shutting down..

I gave it 10 minutes, and it wasn't responding to a hard reset (10 seconds of the power button depressed).

Someone suggested it might have been hanging while trying to contact servers to back up save data online. I think that's a decent guess. Either way, after 10 minutes there was nothing to do but plug it out. Tried it again twice and it worked flawlessly then, so I'm not sure if it's going to be an issue from now on or was just an unlucky once-off thing. Other people in the thread mentioning it makes me think it might be a bug, however rare.

I have NEVER gotten Anna to pick me up in FH2. I think that might be a game-specific issue, since other voice recognition with kinect seems to work pretty well for me.

You might be right about that, I tried to pronounce in every way possible and it still came out at random times.
But still, the UI controls very fast using the mic that came with the PS4. Impressed!

Wow! Just tried remote play on my z3 phone and the quality is awesome...lot better than my vita. need to test some more but local connection via the wifi in my home is very smooth. Will test via internet tomorrow.

Dont have an extra ds4 but the onscreen controls are passable.

Read that Jeffy Rigby thread about how GTA was delayed because 2.00 enables some kind of coprocessor to give free AA, and DLNA functionality.
There's a lot of SDK stuff in there we'll never know about, hence why they names it Masamune.

Noticed a timer on the whats new section for live broadcasts. A Friend was streaming Black Flag and it showed a coundown lower right. Dont remember seeing it before. I knew it timed out and sent you to Live but first time seeing the clock for me

That's always been there. It's a time lapse.

What do mean it times out and sends you to live?

Can someone stuck in rest mode actually give this a go and see which of these, if either, fixes the issue? If it does, I'll start a new thread for people.

Neither solved by issue. At least not reliably. But it gets "stuck" only about 1/2 the time..maybe slightly more, during testing the steps provided.

The themes aren't up yet in the store. I keep getting a message that it can't load that feature, but you can change the Flow color. I had one error message when I went to recent met in the friends list. It was a quick error, but who knows.

I don't there's anything to be too concerned about. I'm thinking that will all get fixed when the store updates (possibly).

I want a crystal theme like my Vita.

Just press and hold the power button for like 10 seconds. It'll beep and turn off. Now Press power again. It'll turn on and you should be good to go after that.

Get a USB stick, create a folder and name it "music" and then put all your mp3s in there. Once done, stick it to the PS4's usb and it will read it automatically and you will see a new tile on your home screen once it reads your USB stick.

How does it structure the music? Does it recognise subfolders (for example if I have an artist/album subfolder structure under music does it sort them that way), or is it based on metadata? Or nothing at all?

I agree with this, I don't like the Spiral theme but I love the Paper Sculpture including the sound and music.

You can now start a specific game by name. When you look at the information panel for a game with the option button it will tell you the voice name for the game.

Just tried watching a YT video while playing BF4, and you can't switch between them by double-tapping the PS button like you can with everything else. Instead, you have to press it once to take you back to the UI, then go into TV/Video and manually select YT, it then tells you that to use this app you have to suspend the game that is currently running (but it doesn't close it). To get back into your game you just press the PS button once to go back to the UI, select the game, and it will take you right back to what you were doing.

I'm disappointed by that, to be honest. You can switch seamlessly between Twitch streams and your game with a double-tap of the PS button, so why not YT? I really hope they fix that.

No, you could open the menu via triangle and choose choose "show all files". You didnt need specially named folders.
