I put it in Rest mode and the fan keeps running full throttle for a couple hours I had to u plus the AC cable. Turned back on and it seems fine now.

The themes are okay, not bad. This is how I rank them

1. Destiny Theme
2. Paper Sculpture Theme
3. Call of Duty: AW Theme, Spiral Theme
4. Rectangular

Spiral is TOTY because it is the only one with a properly matched color for the settings screens.

The good news is that it appears I can now use Remote Play when a USB headset is connected finally lol. Once the standby/rest thing is fixed I'll be set! Before this update it would give me some error if I forgot to unplug my Astro Mixamp first.

Fixed it for me by booting to safe mode and rebuilding the database

On mobile and the sound is pretty good.

after looking at the official change log they seems to have missed a few bits, some are great changes that should have been mentioned.

- party chat quality has improved
- images can be linked directly to text chat
- friends list now has a join party section. much easier to join parties
- there is now a slider for party chat/game audio mixing
- manually check for game updates
- invite screen has been redesigned
- system storage now showing decimal places

Love all these hidden changes! OS feels so snappy and quick now, had a few hiccups with connecting online last night but should stabilise tonight hopefully

They're incredibly bad. None of the icons change like they did on my PS3 (PS3 had the best themes I've seen period). And what's worse when I hit my PS button it actually shows the blue theme for a second before it shows the rectangular one.

Poor form Sony. Fix this please.

that's more likely because the theme would clash horribly with all that text in the settings etc.

so the next themes either need to:

get another picture to better represent that section
use colors that blend well with the text
allow themes to change the system text color as well

YT seems like it's letting me login to my account (pops up asking for the auth code, so I know it's recognising my account and accepting my username/password combo), but fails to complete the sign in process.

Update has been fine for me, but obviously some are having issues so it might be worthwhile to wait until we hear something more.

Wasn't coming from my phone. The phone is to control the app I don't know how I just fired up 2nd screen for play room and it has USB Sounds on the bottom. It grabbed whatever songs it wanted to off of my 1TB USB drive from the USB Music Player. I need to tinker with it to see how to make a playlist or grab songs I want to play. I was just selecting songs from my phone from the USB Music Player.

If you start up playroom it will not let you play music from the USB Music Player from the dynamic menu, you have to use your iphone or android device.

I'm in north america I got home an hour ago and I have the youtube app installed.

Under dynamic tv menu under more apps I selected the youtube app and was being rejected, but the key is to keep pressing to download until it hits your download list 4 attempts on my side. there will be 2 filed youtube and update file. Once you get to download list click on youtube until it begins to load and it will.

Now once you have it installed go to the dynamic tv menu select youtube, it will prompt you to go to the store to purchase just click and you will get the license and you're ready to go.

Be persistent, took me about 5 min.

Yeah I prefer Rectangular. It's my theme for now. Easy to read and see the tiles without being too busy or obnoxious.

How do you remove things from the Library? I've got shit in there like War Thunder I deleted ages ago. As if the UI couldn't be any worse, instead of having to scroll horizontally for an age to find games I haven't played in a while, I now have to scroll right to the Library, then scroll down and root through every F2P game I downloaded and deleted. Lame!!!!

The PS3 UI library organisation was great with the folders etc, how the hell did they fuck PS4 up so much?

You don't. The Library is basically the downloads list from PS3 that has everything you ever downloaded.
