Well sometimes the damn fish might be overseasoned.
Are you joking or did you really not tip because she didn't get you a glass of water when you were DONE with the meal and just sitting around wasting her time?

Alright fine, she didn't bring me the dessert menu either. Are you joking or did you really not tip because she didn't get you a glass of water when you were DONE with the meal and just sitting around wasting her time?
It's a really easy way to be a dick, albeit cowardly. Some people love the easy chance to be a dick to somebody.I don't understand why people leave passive-aggressive messages on receipts. If you have a problem with the service (not saying this is the case here, but it's becoming a trend), you should let your server know upfront, or the manager. People who feel like they have to justify their lousy tipping with a snide comment after the fact is kind of pathetic.
The assumption isn't that the racist asshole is White (though let's be real, odds are they are) but rather that the sever and many of the people who might be employed at this Thai restaurant aren't White. That is to say why would this racist asshole eat at a location (that specializes in food from a foreign culture no less) that has a high probability of employing a lot of people who aren't White if they hate non-White people?
Holy shit at you guys taking Gonzalez to task for giving no tip. It's like you guys have never had atrocious service before.
Have you not read any of the replies to what he did? We're saying "don't leave pissy little notes as a tip," not "you should feel bad for leaving a low tip."Holy shit at you guys taking Gonzalez to task for giving no tip. It's like you guys have never had atrocious service before. Everyone asking why he didn't just ask his server, have you not run into a situation where your server straight up ignores your table? I've given shit/no tips before, but it's only been when I've gotten _really_ bad service. I've had service where I waited 15-20 minutes before being asked for a drink order, when the dining room isn't remotely close to full, and being checked on maybe once through the whole meal. Like, I usually tip pretty well, around 20+%, but if your attitude is basically that you want nothing to do with me, then shit, I want nothing to do with you either.
Sort of unrelated, but I once wrote "Next time fill my glass more than once" where I was supposed to write the tip.
Man a lot of threads in OT this morning have me seeing red >_<
C'mon America, you're supposed to be better than this!

It's still a lot better that they understand one of the issues I had with their service, instead of just leaving without tipping.Have you not read any of the replies to what he did? We're saying "don't leave pissy little notes as a tip," not "you should feel bad for leaving a low tip."
I don't think a single person said what you're claiming.
You would be surprised how many nazis in Germany hate turkish people, but sure do love Döner made by people with turkish background.uh why eat at a Thai restaurant?
I'm not sure if your original post was real and since you've been criticized so heavily you decided to move into joke character territory or if it was a joke all along. It's still a lot better that they understand one of the issues I had with their service, instead of just leaving without tipping.
Plus, I don't like heated public confrontations.

Nah, you just were too lazy to call them over. It's still a lot better that they understand one of the issues I had with their service, instead of just leaving without tipping.

It happened a couple of years ago, and it was at a Cracker Barrel. I've never been back since.I'm not sure if your original post was real and since you've been criticized so heavily you decided to move into joke character territory or if it was a joke all along.
I know it sounds shitty, but it's way better than leaving racist, or mean spirited remarks. So you didn't actually ask for any of the things you wanted and you want them to know what they did wrong but not in a way that would involve speaking to them directly, so let's leave a passive aggressive note instead after leaving them with the impression that everything is fine since you never said otherwise.
Can you not see why people think this sounds shitty?

I don't to see it that way. It's common criticism. Is it an unusual way to deliver it? Yes it is... But that isn't mean spirited. I didn't avoid tipping, and leaving that message because I was getting revenge. I did it to give her advice on how to better her service.Your comment was mean-spirited. It wasn't helpful; your server isn't going to look at the check and think to themselves, "Wow, I really did drop the ball on the refills, thanks for the advice!" they'll just think you were being a dick and move on.
if you google search his name everything is about him not leaving a tip. hahaha, that'll stick with him for the rest of his life
I sympathize with this man because TIPPING CULTURE IS OUT OF CONTROL
