After School Charisma vol 2
http://i.picpar.com/bfd3b6269b8f22945ce4498641d53b52e9f069ba.png[/ig]

As I have mentioned before in regards to Drifters, I love Jeanne d'Arc, so her being on the cover makes me rather happy. Now, what would seem will happen to her in the next volume, based on the plans talked about in this one, isn't making me much happy.
The school's director is a troubling individual. I can't decide if he's a cunning asshole or an idiot.
End of volume makes me really curious both in regards to Pandora as well as Shiro.[/QUOTE]

That also reminds me that I need to actually order this. Read the first volume but its and the second have been on my AMZN wishlist for years now.

Medaka Box 116

My mind is full of fuck. I don't think i've ever seen this type of situation happen n a manga... ever.

X_X

Oh and did they totally just mock Naruto lmao

dwoPO.jpg

Saw this in the random image thread. I'm pretty sure I've seen this somewhere and it's bugging me. Is it Emma or something else?

Shingeki no Kyojin

I give up, I can't predict anything in this comic man. Every month my mind gets filled with fuck.

I had to reread this chapter to see which was it and ... oh man. This kind of makes me rethink some of the current arc stuff! I think I need to reread Medaka Box in its entirety eventually and see how things flow together like this hm...

Magi

Y'know I completely forgot about that chick they beat in the dungeon. Did I just forget and they already said where she is? Oh well.

I also wonder what Aladdin knows now post-Ugo. Back then he didn't even know what a Magi is, but he might know some good stuff now.

Yamada and the Seven Witches

So they both have body swapping abilities thus negating the effect? Or maybe she has ability to cancel Yamada's power

Well, it wasn't in the top 30 for its release week, at least, so that's less than 27,092 copies.
Fuck, I was hoping it would have sold more. Hopefully its sales increase.

I wish there was a database where we could quickly look this up. Manga volume sales are definitely much higher now. 150-200k per volume
I generally just look up the series on ANN and see if it has any news related links to sales. It doesn't work all the times but it gets me the result most of the times.

shingeki no kyoji

I really enjoy this. I really love how it subverts everything about a shounen for the power of friendship to kids saving the world.

From the MH Forums

49. Yamada-kun to 7 Nin no Majo #01 (16,945)

Not a stellar start, that's for sure

Just for comparison sake the oldest sales figure for Yankee-kun to Megane-chan is volume 10 which sold 38,346 then disappeared from the charts. After that sales for other volumes were below 50k until the live action series which gave them a decent boost.

Living Game vol 1

This is a really good slice of life manga. No high school bullshit or teen angst, just real life problems such as finding an apartment for a 15 years old, dealing with your ex-girlfriend and her husband, and having your company move their office to your apartment.

There is a certain old school feeling to it by the way the characters interact and the art style. The first volume was a good read, my only worry is what they will do for the next 9 volumes. I hope they don't dwell too much into Raizo-Izumi relationship since I don't want it to be that kind of manga.

I did find it funny how finding an apartment is so hard with so many pointless rules. I wonder if it's just something from old times considering this manga was written in the 1990, or if it's just a Japanese thing.

Yamada would be really good if it was just set to be a short series about Yamada and Urara's integration into society.

Instead he started kissing other girls, and other girls popped in, and so on and so forth... this is going to get dragged out into oblivion until it gets a mercy killing via cancellation.

Medaka Box

Something I noticed about this manga is that it has next to no consistency. There is a difference between little consistency & no consistency mind you. Bleach has no consistency and suffers for it terrible, while Medaka Box has no consistency... and you know what? It actually works. This manga has no breaks. No fillers, no wasted chapters. Everything is shown and arcs move in and out as quickly as possible. In one chapter they're playing video games, while in the next they're dancing & taking place in the battle of the bands. It reminds of me one those saturday morning cartoons I used to watch as a kid, and its part of the reason why I like it so much.

I'm disregarding battles, characters and plot here but as a manga, Medaka Box is an inconsistent mess! and I love it!

...

I'm okay with this.

It had more progress than Yankee-kun's entire run.

I checked it out and was instantly annoyed at how it looks even more like early Fairy Tail/Rave Master than Yankee-kun did. I think part of the problem is that the characters all literally look like specific Fairy Tail characters e.g. main girl looks pretty much identical to Lucy (and of course has a million panty shots and huge boobs too).

It wasn't KNIM levels of horrible, but it's a too fanservicey for my tastes.

As for manga sales, they don't necessarily mean that much; GE sells like 20K max all the time and it doesn't get cancelled. Not everything can be Naruto or One Piece
or Nisekoi =V

It had 7 in the title so I guess it should've been obvious for more characters but, yeah, I would've liked it just being the main two :(

I guess. It really doesn't bother me too much but the lack of direction for the plot is a little of an annoyance. The expy's are just whatever, though I don't think she looks that much like Elie/Lucy, though it's been a long time since I've read Fairy Tail.

Area D

We're introduced to the factions and Jin goes crazy. Excellent. I'm thinking he'll end up with his own if he isn't completely disgusted by the concept. I mean we only have 3 directions here, so there's room for another.

I was told to come here for oddball manga recommendations because I'm going crazy over Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita's anime. Hit me up! I can't guarantee that I'll read everything because it's prime backlog season over in AnimeGAF and the rest of my summer is probably for marathoning all of Gintama among other stuff, but I'll report in when I find something that I like.

There are a few moments in the series the come to mind (Kenpaichi & Byakuya vs Yammy the strongest espada and Ichigo's fights in general) but yeah Bleach is pretty weak on consistency for me. I mean quincy's are destroying Shinigamis left, right and center. It's pretty weird.

Should have removed Aunt Shits istead of Shingeki. For shame.

Also: What's the manga in the bottom right corner?
I'm not gonna tell you.

I'm very disappointed that you don't know it.

At some point you're going to have to come to terms with the fact that a lot of people don't like your favorite thing.

The World God Only Knows. It's Ayumi and Mercury.

I'll 2nd Fourteen (and probably most of the guy's work). There's also anything by Shintaro Kago and God's Child (not to be confused with God Child). flawfuls should have some more recs when he shows up as would some other people. Can't really think of anything that's super similar to Jinrui, but there's definitely stuff like it out there.

This isn't a manga recommendation, but if you like Humanity has Declined then you probably should start looking up Tanaka Romeo's other works like Cross Channel.

Back on topic, I just finished up reading Bambino! (or at least, the supposed first half of it). Fantastic manga that really goes in-depth into a variety of different aspects of a gourmet restaurant. The cast of characters are all likeable and unique in their own right, although some of the romance plots does seem somewhat forced. While I'm waiting for the next half, I want to know if there are similar manga that revolves around cooking (and not just the food itself, like Toriko)? I know of Iron Wok Jan and Addicted to Curry, although I would prefer that the series didn't really revolve around cooking competitions.

If you want some batshit insane gag, try Sexy Commando Gaiden: Sugoiyo!! Masaru-san. The art is complety gag, so be prepared.

The espada were ranked on riatsu and not strength. Yammy's resurrection is rage which means the angrier he gets the more riatsu he gets. Ichigo is pretty consistent as well. He's no different than any Shonen main battle manga character. I will save my friends blah blah. The quincies have sealed shinigami's bankai. A shinigami's most potent weapon. Of course the shinigami will be corned and suffer casualties. Soken said that there were casualties on both sides in the quincy shinigami war. In Turn Back The Pendelum flashback Shunsui said that the only original captains left was Him, Ukitake, and Yamamoto. Ukitake mentioned Unohana as well. Theres only 2 ways that shinigami captains stop being that. They get promoted to the royal guard or they die in battle. The only exceptions who quit voluntarily is Byakuya's grand father. So yeah, you don't seem to know what consistency means.

shingeki no kyojin

Caught up. So annie was the female titan? I knew it. Titans on the inside? Humanity is fucked. Titans breaching the wall? It's over. Now we have a talking titan? What the hell is going on?

So, with Steam Greenlight announced, who will help get Katawa Shoujo released on Steam?

Let me know when I can throw my support behind a Steins;Gate release on Steam.

Like, Dislike, Like (TSUKISHIMA Haru) vol 1

Usual love triangle story, with a nice/cute but otherwise normal girl and two beautiful guys, one with a bad attitude and the other a pretty nice one, both in love, for a reason or another, with the girl. Despite this, I liked the first volume. Inoue, the girl, is a likable character and Saito, even if he's an asshole, he's right most of the time, even if it would be better if he didn't say anything.
I'm interested in finding out more about Inoue's friend though, since I get the impression she'll end up being the beauty that was hidden between a pair of glasses.
