Talking Titans isn't at all surprising considering the other developments you've mentioned. Titans already exhibited the same level of intelligence as humans, so revealing that Titans can communicate is the next step to humanity learning that they are just completely boned.

Completely caught up now with TWGOK, what an enjoyable ride. Keima is a god among us and I cannot decide which of the girls is the best, they are all great. Ok, that's not quite true, Ayumi is my favourite I guess but Yui is the most amusing one.
But what the fuck is going on right now in the story? After such a long and exiting arc, I would have expected some slower chapters to follow.

The espada were ranked on riatsu and not strength. Yammy's resurrection is rage which means the angrier he gets the more riatsu he gets. Ichigo is pretty consistent as well. He's no different than any Shonen main battle manga character. I will save my friends blah blah. The quincies have sealed shinigami's bankai. A shinigami's most potent weapon. Of course the shinigami will be corned and suffer casualties. Soken said that there were casualties on both sides in the quincy shinigami war. In Turn Back The Pendelum flashback Shunsui said that the only original captains left was Him, Ukitake, and Yamamoto. Ukitake mentioned Unohana as well. Theres only 2 ways that shinigami captains stop being that. They get promoted to the royal guard or they die in battle. The only exceptions who quit voluntarily is Byakuya's grand father. So yeah, you don't seem to know what consistency means.

He referred to Ulquiorra and the rest as trash. Ichigo pretty much jumps up from power level to power level without rhyme or reason. In HM, he was easily defeated by Ulquiorra, but was able to keep up him a few (fights?) later? He didn't train or learn a new technique; he fought him the same he fought him before, except this time he wasn't destroyed. Furthermore the fight itself is bullshit because Ichigo shouldn't have turned into a full hollow... and if he did, Hollow Ichigo would be in complete control, not some mindless zombie.

There's also Aizen vs Ichigo. We never did get an explanation as to why Ichigo (who trained for 3 months) could easily overpower aizen at the near peak of his form with that dumb jewel. It's theorized that he gained full power from his hollow form & bankai spirit, but meh that's insubstantial. I've got more issues with Bleach's consistency but I can't be arsed to find them.

That 5200 Attack Power, wow. The card doesnt even look that strong. One of the minor things I liked was how the legacy card, Seven Tools of the Bandit has managed to stand the test of time and is even present this many generations from the original series. That card is one of the most annoying, on the level of Dark Hole, and Harpie's Feather Duster, oh and of course Mirror Force from the first era of Yugioh, if I recall.

Viz ought to have at least provided the first 18 chapters though, for Alpha...

Impressive set of chapters. I think these are definitely up there for the most memorable moment of the series. The impressive things she does with her hair and blades, combined with Lag Seeing's shidan and heart was nice. I enjoyed the flashback and the emotion in this series always gets to me. Something about him and the others.

Zazie and Noir even had panel time, Connor too, if only Jiggy Pepper was around.

• Pyuu to Fuku! Jaguar, they still only covered 2-3 volumes
• Hunter X Hunter, hiatus everywhere
• Dragon Zakura, about 1/3 of the series.
• Gintama, 2 missing volumes (I could see the anime however)

I'm lucky I got to read Yakitate!! Japan.
