i only went to nakano broadway twice but it was so baller
(one time on general exploration the second time because I remembered a book i didn't buy the first time and raced there to get it and arrived twenty minutes before everything closed)
I guess it depends on how open a weeb you are. When you bring targets of your seduction over, do you first point to the bed? Or your wall memorabilia for them to marvel and praise you for? Either way its the Junko statue. Junko's the shit.

I may never get tired of alt magical girl silliness, regardless of how otherwise uninspiring it is. Above image should give you a fair idea about what to expect.

Congrats Fujiwara, you've awaken Shirogane dark side. Anyway, handling live fish is not that bad.

Melancholia 1-2
A new omnibus by Dowman Sayman. I don't need to explain further because the first 2 chapter is very similar to nickelodeon
Grabbed the first two volumes of Juuhan Shuttai, which is basically a seinen version of Bakuman but from the point of view of the editors. I watched and loved the drama so I hope it's as good.
Kaguya is amazing but I can't really write a good explanation on my phone at the moment. It ties into that "larger comedic worldview" thing I mentioned a bit back about Grand Blue or the sleeping princess manga
Tokyo Ghoul re: So Kaneki literally got on the train.... and hitched a ride to the CCG secret base... Okay then.
My Hero Academy: Good chapter, dumb faces and excellent jokes.
Daemon's Plan (OR Tzeentch: The Autobiography): This is still teetering along... amidst it's own mediocrity. Which annoys me as it's continues to have the occasional flash of greatness, just wish it hadn't forced itself to be so.... generic. I mean this could've been Daemon highlander, which I would've digged. But instead it feels so bland.
Souma: Slightly disappointed we saw no Souma mum, but I did enjoy Souma dad's reflection on what Souma would've done in his situation.
One Piece: Re-read the whole of this yesterday afternoon, and what a ride it was. From the get go there are some great moments and scenes that still cause goosebumps 15 years on. Though I will say there are still some moments that I feel are in need of re-visiting. (The following is not that important so I've hidden it if you don't want to bother reading it).
For example Zoro's whole past and flashback seems quite pale in comparison to all the others, considering at the time it only covered like 8 pages, which is quite interesting considering how Sanji is now getting this whole extra added backstory to himself. And the fact the I can safely say I feel that you could skip out the entire Sky island saga and not really miss anything...
. But all in all the last two arcs I feel are a return to form after the restarting of this adventure.
is the chapter that I just read. Sure, she's the main girl and all so it was basically inevitable, but this train is still a few stops ahead of schedule.
Nothing like forcing the MC to get with the main girl when there's zero chemistry or any indication that the MC ever gave a romantic shit about the girl.
Straight into the shit list it goes, probably won't even bother reading the ending.
A rather typical "geeky girl meets popular tomboy" short story, but with yuri sex. However, there isn't actually all that much of sex, and the characters are easy to like, partly due to them being slightly more exaggerated than usual, with one being a technologically-inept musclehead and the other a mousy geek.
A recommended read if you're in the mood for yuri action.

Saw this read this and then read the other 18 Volumes of the Yuri collection I found it in. Think I've hit my Yuri quota for today. So I'll give it a thankyouZweizer/10

I wanted to get some recommendations on stuff to read. Over the past couple years I've started getting back into Anime but never really got into Manga or Light Novels. The two series I started reading recently are Jojo and Assassination Classroom and I'm enjoying them so I wanted to get some recommendations.
Some of the anime I've enjoyed over the years have been stuff like
Record of Lodoss War
BubbleGum Crisis
Trigun
Vampire Hunter D
Goddanar
A few Gundam shows with G being my favorite
Dragon ball
Death Parade
Summer Wars
The Boy and the Beast
Blood Blockade Battlefront
My Hero
I'm digging Jojo a lot and Assassination classroom also but not as much. I was considering reading OverLord because I'm enjoying the anime but I'm trying to decide on if I should read the Light Novels or the Manga.

It's cool, I'm not really asking for a giant list or anything just some stuff to get me started so I can get an idea of what I might like.
I like the anime for My Hero Academia so I was thinking about that one anyway, I've heard a lot about Full Metal Alchemist but have no real exposure to it so I'll try that one also.
Thanks! Black Lagoon is a series that was recommended to me after I had asked someone for an anime that's similar to Yakuza so I'll check that one out a well. I'll look into the other to see what they are about.

The last like...10 chapters of Sesuji wo Pin have been SO FUCKING GOOD. All the shit about Rio wanting to win and Masami admitting he only wants to dance with her, our cutest main couple pulling out their secret move and the first real time we've ever seen the MC angry or frustrated and blowing his adorable lid, the Champion and Sara being badasses. The manga is just so positive and happy and cute even when dealing with Rio's inferiority complex and feelings about Sara and Masami.
I love this manga, and the MC couple's interactions give me life; him sorta using her as his booster support and her okaying or corroborating stuff he gets excited about and says spur of the moment. Even Hirarin got development from just being a side character

Ooooh I have to catch up, I haven't read since the mid-20s. I'm really glad this has been good - it's pretty cool that a dancing manga has managed to run in Jump for 9+ volumes already (especially when things like Demon's Plan, Red Spirte, Love Rush which I would have bet would have done much better but sank like stones), and it's definitely not going anywhere considering the state of Jump right now.
You are in for a pretty cool ride. Do post what your impressions, I will be curious to see what you think once you are caught up.
It's actually kinda cool hearing how much the people working on it are such fans of the mangaka on the podcast. Which make it better that Astra is also as good as late Sket Dance (but slightly more refined).
A mermaid princess travels to the human world to pay respects to an aquatic friend who was caught by fishermen. And then ends up eating him. Further proof that cannibalism is hilarious. I think this is ultimately supposed to be a gag cooking manga, and while I'm unsure how entertaining it'll be once the main joke's been played out, I'll definitely be following it to find out.
