I "accidentally" looked at the baka updates tags and there'sin this. This is gonna suck isn't itrape. I'm now worried that based on takai's early strange behavior that this manga is going to go to some dark places. I'll continue reading but i was really hoping to avoid dark and depressing stuff
Just tell me this isn't an author that enjoys deliberately making fans angry.
it's not aggressive rape, and some would say it's more "attempted" rape. it does involve drugs and the mangaka left it ambiguous if there was penetration (i personally think there was). the perpetrator basically gets away with it with no repercussions. my problem with the manga isn't so much this, but how the author deals with it afterwards. in a way, after it happens, the character is put into an NTR situation almost as if to justify or to make it clear that "MC shouldn't be with this person". i personally saw it as a "she's no longer pure for the MC, better make her do something to make the public mad at her.

Quite the tale. The cows anthropomorphic design makes it into an overall porn story, but it doesn't remove the actual message this story is able to convey. They're animals, they're cattle, so we don't give much thought about the way we treat them, but seen the way this portrays it, it doesn't feel too dissimilar from heavy slavery. Taken from birth away from their parents, sold away, made unable to escape, used through and through for their produce, be it milk or offsprings and once they can't produce milk or give birth anymore, sent to become food and their remains used in some various ways. It's probably even worse since not even death spares their mortal remains.

Thanks for the heads up, I read as much of grappler as I could, and all of son of ogre. Still entertaining despite the immensely bad pacing.
Though it finally got on the right track. I actually expected it to end just with them getting together.

Inhumane practices aside, I did find the progress of various skills the students achieved through their hardships interesting, in addition to the final test and how it puts into practice everything they learned. There were some interesting tidbits about the background of this project as well. I still find the government's reliance on a select few individuals for the survival of the human species instead of a broader population somewhat stupid though.

Yeah, she may be wiped out by Mikasa. I don't think Eren will kick the bucket, would be kind of...pointless at this stage.
This writer really freestyles the story though...interesting where it takes him to triumph or ruin anyway.
Oh come on you know that's not gonna happen. The only people who are going to be leaving us in the next few chapters are those two no-names with the SL that were in that one panel.

Finally got Vol 1 and 2 of D-Gray Man. I'm gonna start doing my impressions on the manga since I really forgot about it. Though I did watch the anime, but I wanna see how the manga develops and since the anime didn't cover all of the manga.
All this is hope that it comes back from haitus in 2015.
She has no role in the story other than eating Eren at this point. Before this she was our link to the truth behind all the shit, but that was all just revealed. No reason to keep her around at this point.
And if I told you they would keep her around for the sole reason of pandering to Ymir/Historia lovers, would you believe me?
Gonna be pretty hard to walk her and Eren back from this.

After where the anime ended it felt like a blur of inconsistency and pacing issues. Which is sad since I really loved the concept of the whole series.
Honestly if it does happen good, it should happen. But the fact that they are telegraphing it so damn hard is just asking for expectations to be subverted. And if they do that, I will not be happy.
