MANY New Donkey Kong Jungle Beat screens

I played this last August in a mall in Shibuya. It was absolutely fantastic and I'm really glad I got to try it out.

There are, like, two games I want more than this. And yes, the bongo controls work... I don't think I'd want it any other way. :D

i would be so much more excited about this game if it used conventional controls. it looks strong enough to stand on its merits as a platform game.

Well this post is hardly surprising, were talking about someone who argued to death about Metroid being weak because of the controls......you want to be playing games the same way for eternity?.......guess you're a republican or something.

no, consensus is still that jungle beat rocks. i can't remember if there's anyone on this board who agrees with me, actually.

I understand you. Partly agree with you, however conventional control scehemes do not seem to be a part of Nintendo's console future.

simple, transparent controls are basically a good thing for videogames. contrived, tortured controls implemented for the sake of novelty are not. and that's jungle beat's game design: the supposed fun of the game is in struggling with bad controls. new and clever? perhaps. good? no.

Wow, the game looks fairly impressive. 2005 appears to be shaping up nicely for GameCube owners. I'm already satisfied. RE4, Killer 7, Jungle Beat, Kirby (just announced), and Zelda -- not bad at all. Five potentially good titles for GCN in one year? That's quite an accomplishment.
