Posted by an account created 'a few minutes ago' named 'noHL3today'

So not only are we getting fake HL3 info and fake Valve takedowns but also faked reports of faked accounts posting faked HL3 info

This is too funny

This is Frog Fractions 2 isn't it?

This post has even less proof than the original post lol

its just speculation

LIES! That's what they want us to believe.

Pure speculation from this guy as well. Probably closer to the truth though hahaha

kek

Just to be clear - I don't even know what's been happening, this is at the top of the subreddit and seems a lot more plausible than Valve trying to stop a leak that quickly

I should have hosted the golden globes

- Marc Laidlaw retires
- Sparks Half-Life 3 discussion
- BS post is made on Reddit that talks about HL3's development, areas and features that are supposedly in the game
- BS post is deleted
- Gullible people believe the post simply because of it's deletion and itshappening.jpg
- Still no solid, concrete info on HL3
- Time to move on again

There ya go. :)

Well not quite but whatever

And this is likely the reason why Valve asked the Reddit admins to remove it. It's essentially creating an unrealistic expectation by fans of their upcoming work. When Half Life 3 is released people will go "oh, I thought this was going to have feature X and Y" and "I read online it was going to have AI controlled hot dogs"... and then get disappointed that those features aren't in the game.

This is a very logical conclusion.

But damn if I'm not a little disappointed.

BS.

You really think that Valve cares that a randomn post will cause people people to have "unrealistic expectations" for HL3? A game that we haven't heard a word of in over a decade!?

Regardless of that post if HL3 doesn't fundamentally change the entire gaming landscape and rewrite everything we know about FPS' on top of being the greatest game of the decade, people will be disappointed.

I'm not sure if the Reddit mods can be 100% trustful in this one.

BTW, I doubt Valve cares about these rumors, after all they didn't bother with the open world, open structure rumor.

Valve could straight out announce there will never be another Half Life game and people would still find a way to inject clues about a new Half Life into the press release. When you look for clues everywhere, everything will be a clue.

I really hope that the leak is fake, because the game described in it sounds bad and would be the worst HL game ever. Autogenerated quests and events? So HL3 is a roguelike now?

Then again, Valve is the company that spent years on a Portal 2 version without a portal gun, sooo

The last time something big leaked from Valve, and it was actually something real - the Portal 2 credits song, for instance - they just stayed silent. This isn't real.

Color me skeptical. Is this mod so reputable that we wouldn't put him having a giggle past him? Internal Valve leaks are one thing, but this? This is less than nothing on its face without evidence.

It's very recent. Probably yesterday. People look at the "people" sections frequently. That's how they found Robin Walker's section being Bob Ross with Walker's face shopped on it.
