Mariah Carey has a Valentine's Day treat for her fans: she'll appear on The View next Wednesday.

The superstar singer will pop up on the ABC chatfest to promote a new single, "Be Mine." A rep for the singer says "Be Mine" is from her upcoming album, The Art of Letting Go.

Mariah had previously promised some sort of announcement on Valentine's Day, though perhaps she's doing it early on The View because she's busy on that day. As previously reported, on February 14, she'll be giving a private Valentine's Day concert at her home for a lucky winner and a companion. She's auctioning off the private show via the website Prizeo.com, to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

‘You’re Mine (Eternal)’ is the upcoming song from the legendary singer that will live on her forthcoming album, ‘The Art Of Letting Go’.. The release date for the tune (Wednesday February 12th — just in time for Valentine’s Day) and the LP (May 6th) were revealed in a trailer video that fans can watch below:

The fourteenth record from the ‘We Belong Together’ singer also includes the title track, the first buzz cut, ‘Triumphant (Get ‘Em)’ with Meek Mill and Rick Ross, ‘Beautiful’ featuring Miguel, which peaked at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100, ‘Dedication’, ‘Save The Day’ and more.

The song is going to be premiered on US radio tomorrow morning around 8 am EST. (2/12/14)

I'm a lowkey fan of Mariah. My GF of 10 years is a huge fan. Ive heard a lot of Mariah in my time. Also, I saw her live at the verizon center for the adventures of mimi tour. Bought the tickets as a gift.


Also I enjoy breasts. Carry on.

YAS!!! I went to the Adventures Tour when she was in Albany in NY. I had a great time.Sean Paul was the opening act and he killed it too.

I'm just hoping the live promo will show phenomenal vocals like her improvisation she did for fans a month or so back.

For some reason these days, she locks up for her television performances in addition to having very little vocal endurance.

Well, that's not always the case.

She does tend to perform better vocally during moments of improv, though. And I don't think the comparison is "improv vs. televised performances" so much as it is "is she singing in a relaxed way or is she "doing a performance"?"

If it's a performance, she's more hit or miss, whatever vocal condition she's in. She seems to, as you say, lock up sometimes. For instance, she sounded godawful at the NFL Kickoff, and then she sounded great at the jazz club just afterwards. And on some songs she just tends to do better - I'll Be There has been quite good this past year.

Leona and I were talking about this, and he mentioned thinking that she'd bought into the whole "Mariah songs are impossible to sing" thing too much. I'll let him elaborate if he wants; I don't want to misstate things!

Oh yeah and there's a song out too. Groovy. She seems crazy and delusional, but is still pretty damned hot - shame she never showed off in Playboy in '98 or so when she was at her hottest.

I suppose there IS a difference in that distinction. Does she feel the need to put on a show? Or is she just riffing for fun for the pure enjoyment of her fans?

Sometimes I just wish she'd have a set of lyrics she'd have prepared, but then perform them for an awards ceremony completely improvised (and be in good vocal condition)
so many variables!

She needs to get better directors. I know she directed that video with Miguel and it shows. Her older videos were fine.

I still like Mariah. Very interested to hear the album.
