The new release date for the album (as of 2/25/2015) is: March 16, 2015!

Froot is mostly better than everything on Electra Fart but it's still sort of mediocre.

I'll wait for the rest of the album to release in April rofl.

It's true.

Electra Fart is such a lethargic effort from her. I understand her entire "I'm so cool and ironic" schtick that she has going on, but using that as your marketing device goes under the presumption that your work is better than the mainstream music that you are trying to satirize. Froot is okay so I won't write this new era off from her abruptly; however, I'm hoping that she ditches the entire ironic pop concept and just creates solid music like her debut LP.

I'm not sure if you saw my PM a couple weeks back where I was gushing over the single or not, but if you did you would not need to ask if I am hyped or not. I absolutely cannot wait, the news that it doesn't drop until April isn't even bumming me out because I am just so happy to get another album from her. Hell, when I got the announcement email from her earlier I even forced myself to go into the Pop-GAF OT, solely because I wanted to see what people were saying about the news.

Yep, I'm pumped for it.

I'm not really looking forward to this, despite being a huge Marina fan. Her first album was so good and felt so soulful, then Electra Heart felt a bit more cookie-cutter, but nonetheless good. Froot seems like it might be even more "generic pop", but I'll still remain cautiously optimistic.

Definitely disagree. Her first album is what's meh to me, Electra Heart is what made me a fan.

FROOT has definitely impressed me, one of my favorite Pop singles this year.

And the video!? Homegirl is serving Old Hollywood GLAM and I'm here for it.

Still don't get the April 2015 release date, doesn't make sense at all (unless the intent is to draw attention to streaming which, actually, is rather smart).

Froot starts off promising and then just......drags.

The next songs better be good because April gosh I don't know if I'll still be perched then.

I saw, and I'm super sorry for not responding, I'm awful at PM correspondence.

Yeah, the wait is killer but totally worth it, IMO

She just announced that she's playing Lolla Brazil in late March. Hopefully she does the festival circuit in 2015. That'd be amazing. Looking forward to a Coachella announcement...

It's nice to see Marina step away from the Electra Heart-style "everything is wrong with me" and write a song about being, well, happy. :) good for her~

I'm out and about at the moment but I'll update the OT in the next day or two!

That "I'm a Ruin" cover.....
It's a good thing I wasn't standing up when I saw it because I would have been so weak-kneed that I would have fallen flat on my face, would have looked like a trembling newborn giraffe trying to stand or something. It's making me consider a first time avatar change (probably won't though, I've grown to accustomed to using my current one).

I'm digging the song. When I read the song title I immediately thought it was going to be really upbeat and have a a quicker tempo, so I was a bit surprised that it ended up being a slower song. Still good though, like every other song she has done.

I really liked Immortal, though it took a few listens to click with me. I think I'm A Ruin will be the same.

Super excited for the rest of these.

I fucking love the chorus of Immortal, but the rest of the song has yet to grow on me, basically like Homewrecker for me, which I totally grew to love. :) In my opinion, she's about 4/4 on singles released!

Froot > Happy > I'm A Ruin > Immortal.
