I don't dig on big hair (more into modern metal), but the guitar from the first Halo game was VERY fitting even though it was only used a couple of times. This "guest" thing won't be bad, I garauntee ya. Unless they throw vocals in there, and they won't, it'll be a very natural thing.

However, Steve Vai always composes awesome material for soundtracks, Crossroads was great, as was his guitar solo at the end of Bill & Ted 2
