Marvel Cinematic Universe Ranked

I just wanted to do one more of these ranked lists.

There are 36 films in the MCU. Fantastic Four, that comes out in two weeks, will be number 37.

This was hard to rank, and I was surprised at how many of these films I dislike. The first eleven are the only ones I really enjoy.

1. Avengers: Infinity War
2. The Avengers
3. Avengers: Endgame
4. Guardians of the Galaxy
5. Deadpool & Wolverine
6. Thor: Ragnarok
7. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
8. Iron Man
9. Captain America: Civil War
10. Spider-Man: No Way Home
11. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
12. Spider-Man: Homecoming
13. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
14. The Incredible Hulk
15. Doctor Strange
16. Iron Man 2
17. Captain America: The First Avenger
18. Thor
19. Ant-Man
20. Black Panther

25. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
26. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
27. Captain America: Brave New World
28. Spider-Man: Far From Home
29. Eternals
30. Ant-Man and the Wasp
31. The Marvels

19. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
20. Doctor Strange
21. Thor: Ragnarok
22. Spider-man: Homecoming
23. Iron Man 2
24. Ant-man
25. Captain America: The First Avenger
26. Spider-man: Far From Home
27. Captain America: Brave New World
28. Thor: Love and Thunder
29. The Incredible Hulk
30. Black Widow
31. Captain Marvel
32. Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania
33. Thor: The Dark World
34. The Marvels
35. Ant-man and the Wasp
36. Eternals

And yes, to definitely varying degrees, I enjoy almost all of these films. Because I remember what I consider the real era of "slop" like Superman 3 and 4, Batman Forever/& Robin, Catwoman, Hulk 2003, Blade Trinity, Elektra, the Ghost Rider films, X-men Origins: Wolverine, Jonah Hex, Green Lantern, and 2015 Fantastic Four. Only Eternals gets close to how bad and particularly boring those films were.

Nice list OP. I'll show mine.

Movies:

1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
2. Captain America: Civil War
3. Avengers: Infinity War
4. The Avengers
5. Spider-Man: Homecoming

8. Avengers: Age of Ultron
9. Thor: Ragnarok
10. Thunderbolts*

11. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
12. Deadpool 2
13. Captain America: The First Avenger
14. Spider-Man: Far From Home

30. Captain Marvel

31. Iron Man 3
32. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
33. The Incredible Hulk
34. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

35. Eternals

9. She Hulk
10. What If?

11. Secret Invasion

Captain America: Brave New World (Have not seen yet)
Iron Heart (Have not seen yet)

Edit: Decided to change how it's spaced, because I feel the top 15 are solidified, and so are the bottom 7. It's 15-30 that I feel iffy about and have thought multiple times about moving things up and down, even now.

36. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Winter Soldier at 13 is WILD.

To be honest Endgame has made me retroactively hate everything that came before it but prior to that my list would have looked like this:

1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier
2. Avengers: Age of Ultron
3. Guardians of the Galaxy
4. Iron Man
5. Avengers: Infinity War
6. Captain America: The First Avenger
7. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

8. The Avengers
9. Ant-Man
10. Doctor Strange
11. Captain America: Civil War
12. Black Panther
13. Thor
14. Iron Man 3
15. Iron Man 2
16. Thor: The Dark World
17. Ant-Man and the Wasp
18. Thor: Ragnarok
19. The Incredible Hulk
20. Captain Marvel
21. Avengers: Endgame

I refused to watch the first 2 Spider-Man films. No Way Home was awful outside of Garfield and Dafoe so I'm not going to bother with it either.

I mostly agree with OP's list, but I didn't see most of the latter half of the movies and I think the first Dr. Strange should be higher.

Difficult list for sure.
Just wanna say Deadpool vs Wolverine and both of the Black Panther movies were not that great. (Not a racist)

As someone who liked BP, it understandably has problems that mostly occur in the third act.

The perfect end fight in that movie would have simply been a second challenge between the two panthers without their suits, with T'challa using his wits and words to throw off Killmonger in bare-fist battle, who was already emotionally unstable.

It didn't need the random betrayal. It didn't need the war. It didn't need the horrific CGI fight at the end. Just man vs man at the top of a cliff or something…maybe that cliff where T'challa and Killmonger had their final exchange of words, with more good writing added in during the fight.

It's part of the reason why Thunderbolts ranks so high for me and probably why it ranks so high for Doom85 Doom85 . The movie didn't try to end on the typical big silly CGI fight and instead kept the focus on the character writing. They managed to make a huge moment feel more personal and emotional than most other marvel movies.

From the ones I watched:

1. Avengers: Endgame
2. Iron Man 2
3. Spider-man: Homecoming (if it counts)
4. Avengers
5. Spider-man: No way home (if it counts still)
6. Captain America 3: Civil War
7. Thor Ragnarok
8. Dr Strange: Multiverse of Madness
9. Iron-Man 3
10. Avengers: Infinity War
11. Spider-man: Far from home
12. Thor: Love and Thunder
13. Avengers: Age of Ultron
14. Thor

I don't really care about the others. I have absolutely no interest in Captain America besides Civil War, and that's solely because Spider-man was in it

Just watched Thunderbolts, and was surprised how much I liked it. Having lower stakes and less bombastic action did wonders for grounding it and making the superhero stuff seem impressive again. I remembered this thread and decided to put together and share my list.

I didn't realize I'd seen so many of these. The "n/a's" are the ones I haven't, and--unsurprisingly--it's most of the recent ones. How's this compare to yours?

I don't have time to make a list, but honestly the top film would be the first Iron man. Watched it recently and it just has a special feeling, a groundedness that all future films lack.

Bottom of the list would be Eternals for the killer sin of being boring, Black Panther 2 for just being pure bad, and Thor 4 for wasting insane talent on such a horrible script.

Everything else falls in the middle as average fun films to me. And no I don't consider Winter Soldier to be anything special, it's 3rd act is just bad lazy writing that lets the film down (which is litterally the same problem almost all MCU films have, they all have the most copy/repeat bad 3rd acts)

Edit: fixed, I meant to say Thor 4, not 3.
