It has been a long time since I have said something like this, but you are the reason why Marvel did not bother with Havok/Lorna for such a long time. Whao dude. If nobody read X-Factor "or care", it would have been cancelled long ago. And they just got introduced (reintroduced) there an issue ago. It is about time you wait for one adventure before dissing them pointlessly...whao.
Funny thing is I actually cared about Havok before X-Factor i.e Marvel Cosmic and i read pretty much everything with him.
Ever since he returned to earth I just havent cared.(but you say he just got reintroduced, so i guess thats why)
Is post schism X-Factor an interesting read?
Maybe you can convince me to buy into it.
Simply saying im the reason Havok hasnt been used is pointless....rather tell me why i should care ever since he got back to earth, one good forum post could get X-Factor a new reader.
This along with the upcoming Marvel RPG is actually making me interested in comics again.
How's Fear Itself?

Not really being wholly familiar with Hope's powers and reading Schism anyway. Reading about her powers now, they really created a character this broken? She can use all the mutant powers!

Nah Tony had defenses against Prof X, he damn sure has something for Mags.

It just wasn't that good of a book, Fraction admits as much on a War Rocket Ajax podcast.
If you're looking for a good jumping in point I would go with Schism which isn't the greatest of books but gives you a general idea of where the X-Men stand at the moment.
As far as ongoing titles: Wolverine & The X-men & Avengers/New Avengers are really solid and should help you get wet.
I hated schism
What they did with the Hellfire club was so Goddamn retarded. Whenever children get brought in as main villains, it is something I just cant get used to. You can have as many space monster virus whatever but children are unbelievable.
The second part that I took issue with was the fight between Logan and Scott, neither of them would fight like that when a sentinel was coming at them risking everyone they care for. The whole dynamic of the sentinel made it cheap, it should have just been a straight up brawl between the two. Stupid stupid stupid.
Faster than the mechanism in Scott's visor
Then again, this is the new age cyclops that can go blow to blow with wolverine without death, so who knows anymore.
She hasn't been around that long and it probably hasn't come up. I dunno. Everyone else knows about it.
still tryin to figure that one out...the headbutt should've ...well put him in a coma.
This is a question I've had about the x-men for a while now, and I guess I'll ask it here since it seems super-relevant: There's plenty of x-men like cyclops whose power seems to be some offensive thing. If that's all the powers they've got, then they are squishy vulnerable meatbags as far as getting hit goes. Do they all have some passive resiliency mutation that I don't know about, or is this just a thing that gets ignored in the stories?
Ah. How long has Hope been with the X-Men? Because if it's been like, a year I guess I can see why no one would comment on the whole "Oh by the way, the man your named for's wife was killed, her entire family massacred, and her children hunted because of this thing that's sort of coming for you. And did we mention you look a lot like her so the alien empire that slaughtered her whole family would probably not think twice about killing you?"
Just seems like that should've been the first thing for them to tell her. "Hey Hope! You were born with red hair in Marvel comics! If you aren't killed off by aliens or whatever, you'll still have to sell your marriage to the devil!"
Man, people hate the new Hellfire Club. I love it. Perfect antithesis to the core thematics of the X-Men. A new generation, an evolution, if you will.
And of course, perfect foil to a school of kids.

I'm okay with that, Richard had a good death along with Starlord.
SO its fear itself except with Pheonix shards instead of Asgard hammers?
Pretty much my reaction exactly. Can't wait to see that. 8O
Namor vs Thing? Really? One of the most powerful mutants against a living rock?

Last I checked she has total control over her powers now and can make skin-to-skin contact with somebody without draining their energy involuntarily. What state is Rogue's character in these days? I never read Legacy. Is she a basket case like she was in Xtreme X-Men? I vaguely recall her getting "reset" thanks to Mystique. So she can just sap peoples powers now?

It has only been about a year and on top of that she already knows about the whole "being the mutant messiah" thing and that already weighs heavily on her. It's understandable they didn't bombard her with all the old Phoenix bullshit, but at the same time she has displayed Phoenix-like powers that other X-Men have noted so it doesn't make sense at all that they haven't told her about it at all.
Thats good. 20-30 years (in real time) with the X-Men and shes the only one Prof X hadn't been able to help. Which is kind of sad since that was the whole purpose of the school and why Mystique sent her there.
lol.
Professor X also couldn't help Cyclops (control his blasts) or Wolverine (remember who the hell he was).
WTF was that guy good for, anyway?
