Activision and Marvel Entertainment jointly announced today that the companies have expanded their long-term, broad-based strategic alliance by signing a multi-year extension to their current video game licensing agreements for the Spider-Man and X-Men franchises through 2017.

every year one spider-man and x-men legends game - oh boy! ~_~

Well considering most people think Ultimate Spiderman and both the X-men Legend games are actually good...

Aside from the movie tie ins, most of the Marvel games under the Activision umbrella have been pretty good. I'm still waiting for that Classic Spider-Man game that's supposed to come out after Ultimate.

I like this. Activision brings out the good Marvel games.

Now we just need to get Marvel the fuck away from EA and give it back to Capcom.

Come on guys. ;_;

On a random note, how about a Marvel vs. DC from Capcom? How cool would that be?

Awesome, they have consistently put out some of the best games, compared to EA especially :lol

Bring on the X-Men Legends 3!!

Fine by me, as people started Activision has done nicely with the Marvel franchises.

By this I take it you mean the Xmen legends games, and not those stupid "hay guys it's Children of the Atom but in TREE DEE" fighting games they started their early contributions to the license with

activision/marvel is a pretty good combination, they produce decent stuff, though my fave marvel games are still the capcom fighers, especially msh and mvc2.

agreed, they really captured the x-men universe well.

activision does a decent job i think, but could still do a hell of a lot better. at least theyve improved from the x-men mutant acedemy/next dimension days as someone already pointed out.

A year isn't bad, considering they churn out rubbish on a monthly basis. Can't wait until Marvel / Activision releases the super duper cross over game that is released once a week for four months during summer. :lol

No really, all I've got to say is; well duh!
