I know nothing about MK, never read any of the comics and had zero interest when they announced this. Still, I was bored the other day so watched EP1. Interestingly, the character and premise grabbed me immediately. Didn't get me as immediately sucked in as Loki, but not far off. Still not really interested in the mythos but so long as they keep it fun, I'm eager to see what's next..

Just watched EP 3. After being a bit disappointed with the second one, I'm finding that I am back toward kind of digging this show. Still not really a fan of the character (Moon Knight the super hero) and the Ethan Hawke character is barely intriguing, but everyone else is interesting enough. Also it's actually kind of a nice change of pace seeing a Marvel show where it's not constantly reminding you that it's a Marvel show. Looking forward to the next episode!

Took me a while to get around to these since I gotta download em as I don’t have Disney plus anymore. Thought the first two episodes were fine, though not riveting. Fell asleep during episode 3 though and woke up not remembering when I dozed off so I need to start it over again. Of what I saw, was my least favorite of the first three.

I don’t see the connection from that user’s post and Batman. It’s all in the pace and execution.
I’m a big fan of Moon Knight and the mental health angle, because it’s a unique and exciting concept, but I was pretty bored with the constant back and forth as well. I’ve read plenty of great Mk comics that don’t necessarily rely on Moon Knight constantly bickering with himself.
So far, the show is just okay. It’s a double-edged sword because this show would not exist without the MCU, but at the same time, it is being held back by that formula. They are constantly undercutting the tension of this thick atmosphere they’ve created. It needs to be let loose a bit.

I'm glad you've enjoyed them man, but I hate the way the characters have been handled with these series, Wanda could've been excellent but I hated the trajectory she was put on and there was no need for the CGI wank fest it devolved into.
Not to mention how she is immediately forgiven by everyone in regards to taking a whole town hostage to live out some perverse fantasy with her dead robot husband and fictional children.
I've still got to catch up with Moon Knight but I'm hoping for good things having watched 3 episodes so far.

I have a theory that the endings of Wandavision, Falcon&WS, and Loki were all originally 'bad end' endings, but only Loki stuck with the bad end. Maybe they'll course correct in the new Dr. Strange and show(or say) that actually, the citizens weren't alright with what happened, and they only acted happy and grateful so that Wanda would finally leave. Falcon&WS ended up as the most disjointed of the three due to multiple reasons including covid, and I'm saddened by that because the first 1/2 of it had serious potential.
The last 1/2 of F&WS should have blurred the lines of what's right and wrong and have both main characters question their motivations and governments/shield. They were too scared to simply make U.S. Agent a more logical and lethal version of Captain America, and instead they just made him into a rage monster which undercuts what he actually represents, which is a guy who gets the job done quickly and without question, proudly for his government. It could have been the ideology of Sam, a flawed man who's trying to live up to everyone's idea of Captain America and be the example of everything good, vs the ideology of a man who represents what Captain America actually was beyond his image, a really excellent soldier/killer. The terrorists should have just been a backdrop to this larger plot because their overall writing was terrible anyway. Disney is too safe for this though, which is why Netflix did it better, showing Daredevil's ideology clash with Punisher in season 2.

Loved Moon Knight, got back to Australia this week and watched all 6 episodes. I was really unhappy with what happened to Harrow at the end but then the credits scene made me happy.
Very cool show, loved the Steve and Marc dynamic. Very well done action scenes. I just didn't understand what the hell Harrow's motivations were at all.
I will happily take all these Disney+ shows over the boring talking head Netflix shows and poorly crafted free to air shows. The episode count for the Disney+ shows really helps with pacing.

The show is decent but too fixated on the Lemire run from the comics and really suffers from that. That run is a culmination of many years of stories and having it as a start to the series makes the series in my opinion a bit of a mess.
This should have been a story done in the third or fourth season. As a result we have almost no moon knight for half the series. The first series should have had Moon Knight fighting crime and focused on his deteriorating mental status. Which was the narrative for the first 30 years of the characters existence.
The changing of Steven Grant as a character is kind of stupid as well, Steven grant is essentially Bruce Wayne in the comics, Marc Spector is balanced character and Jake Lochley is the punisher.
Really glad they made the series but the lack of moon knight/super hero stuff makes me think most people will check out early risking no second series.

As much as people dislike SJW, the youtuber right wingers are just going insanely hard on this show how shit it is because a woman showed up at the end with a bit of a power up. I never paid any attention to the comics (the character seemed pretty D-list in the 80s, and the name/aesthetic was always completely uninteresting to me), I just tuned into the 1st episode of this when it first aired because I was bored! And pretty tired of these shows honestly. But that first episode was unusual and compelling as hell so I was eager to see what was next. The show kind of zigged and zagged, meaning I started disliking it and then would get suckered back in - that 5th episode was really fascinating though.
Finale was ok, I guess they had to wrap things up (but MAN after ep 5 I was really hoping they would continue on with that crazy momentum and do something really clever/disturbing/offbeat as hell to keep that trajectory). At this point I don't feel a big urge to see what they do with the next season, but this was overall probably my favorite of the Disney+ shows, followed by Loki.
Isaac did a great job portraying 2 different characters and showing an evolving relationship between them, to me that was the standout element of this show by a long shot.

The finale felt a tad rushed though, I'm usually one who thinks most shows are too long but this one could have benefited from a 7th episode.
Harrow being able to instantly take down the other avatars because of reasons was a bit weird. And while the Jake Lockley reveal at the end was cool, it felt a bit cheap for the final fight to essentially get resolved off screen.

Tried to watch this weekly but couldn't get into it, dropped after second episode, but then last night went back and gave it another go now that it was finished and it works much better as back to back instead of weekly for me, the last three episodes were much better than the first three.

We don't know more about the Harrow/Konshu relationship, same for Gaspard Uliel's cameo (the character says he wants to forgive Layla? Why?). We know that Layla is also seen as an outcast at home, that she has to make a false passport, why? No idea.
The little girl in episode 1 who asks Steven how he came back from the dead? The date that Steven has with his colleague in episode 1? Ok we can deduce that Jack, as is his 3rd personality, took the date. But why? Etc, etc.
Moon Knight deserved better, and now I'm afraid Werewolf by Night will be shit.

It was really good. Not great but fun to watch. I probably just like Egyptian mythology.
Of course the ending is annoying as shit and if it's popular, it will never end. But what was there, was really cool.
