Awesome, will grab it. Anyone else heard anything good/bad about the stick?

Is it true I could one day change the insert on it to make it more, well, MvsCish?

Get it its a great stick. Love mine(1st edition stick). Madcatz recently became godlike with the fighting game peripherals.
 
god I played Ferrio like 20 times and he was raping me pretty bad, but I finally got him! But we had so many close matches going his away. Hsien with gold armor is so annoying as an assist though, god, nerf that crap. It's like Zangief Assist in MvC2, so cheap. D:

I just wanted to be sure. I never really paid attention to the whole FightStick thing but I find it interesting and always wanted to grab one. I also was wondering if there were some other ones that weren't made by MadCatz that would probably be better.

I'm looking at like, about 70 US for it in terms of price. (Work benefits plus calling in a few favours. =P)

I paid over 200 Canadian for the original TE stick when SF4 was new.........70 dollars makes me want to cry
 
The dark stages don't play very well on the stream.. well its not as bad on justin.tv but still. It was hard to follow JWong's black Spider-Man at times.

after a while of searching I found a used PS3 TE stick today at EB games for $60. Great condition. It's a good thing because I didn't feel that good about buying something like that used but I figured I'll take a chance, I can always return it.

I just watch streams while I wait. oh god, I have such sore wrists from playing Marvel for 8 hours LOL.
 
I love the synergy between X-23 and Ammy, so good. X-23 uses the projectile assist to apply pressure while Ammy uses the low attack to create some good unblockables when air-dashing in. Ammy also covers Viper if she misses a hyper which is so good, saved my life many times and I've trolled many people with it.

Finally started playing Ranked and it wasn't as bad a massacre as I thought it would be. Granted I'm not exactly proud of my 5-7 record, but I didn't plan on even being close to .500. If anyone wants to run some scrimmages just add me.

I just can't get my head around this game. I'm coming from SF, never really played MvC2, and everything about the game is totally mind-fucking me. My brain and fingers can't seem to compute what is happening on even a basic execution and strategic level. :(

To be fair I've only had it less than a day, but it's still worrying that I can't do basic things with any level of competence or consistency (things that are not game specific - like blocking and dashing).

The assist system is also feeling alien to me in that i can only think of them as people I tag in when I'm done fighting with the character on screen, as opposed to characters I can use tactically during a combo at any point etc. Maybe that's because I'm struggling with the aforementioned basics and things like dialling in and linking my combos even.

Anyway, in spite of all that I want to keep playing because it just looks so damn nice and it is actually fun - my complaints are about my own failings rather than the game system.

Onwards and upwards...
 
God the ps3 pad sucks for playing this game. When I try to do a quarter circle forward, my thumb hits the analog stick and makes me jump. Every time. I don't even have very fat thumbs.
