CAPCOM collaborate with... BABYMETAL for Resident Evil's 30th anniversary

I always find it weird when they take assets from a games in-engine cutscenes and render them like that.

I always wonder, is there that quality of render for every cutscene in the game somewhere?

It has to be an in-game render of purposes of blending into the gameplay and space on disc/download among other reasons I know, but still.

Loved Babymetal until Road of Resistance, didn't dig Karate or anything coming afterwards, and even less after Yui graduated. Curious as to what this is about.

How is this meaningful to fans of RE? No offense to Babymetal but how does someone who has been there since the OG days begin to celebrate this if they don't give two 💩 about their music?

it's very normal for japanese IPs to do promos with japanese artists and bands.
so this is just one of those 🤷 and Babymetal is very popular, so it's a decent promo idea I think. it's not like hardcore RE fans need to be reminded that the series exists, but Babymetal could draw new eyes to the series.

Back when Capcom Community was still a thing and Seth Killian still helped run the Capcom community network. I bought a couple cool RE shirts and an Umbrella umbrella. That sorta dissolved and that whole community doesn't really have the same impact that it once had. It would be cool to have something for it that is meaningful. I totally get it. Final Fantasy has done that over the years (Dirge and Genesis from CC).
