Once you launch, press up s, down s for left or right s for a tag in. Up s shoots em up, down s shoots em down, and left and right s stay the same height.

Haha holy shit I have been doing QCB s for ariel team combos, I thought I have been doing them wrong! My game is now going to step up big time.

it gets really bad when i use a fast character (chun, dante). played the ps3 version (buddy got it last week) for 4 hours in arcade mode, never had any issues. will try trainng mode next.

Oh your on the 360, on the ps3 here so not sure if other people reported issues with that version.

When can you OTG? Is it possible after any knockdown? I have no idea what the timing is for X23 otg(qcf m).

There is no timing. Just do it as soon as you land and keep holding M until she automatically attacks. I do an extremely easy combo with her that I can hit every time: cr.l, m, h, cr.h, s, j.lmh, qcf+l, land, qcf+m (hold), rage trigger.

Yeah he's supposed to say that but his intonation and emphasis is completely weird. No one would say that sentence that way :/

Can you still enjoy playing this game online if you got your ass handed to you on SSFIV?

I was basically a Ken scrub, won a few, lost many...........

Thanks.

Sounds unlikely with all the projectile spam and effective zoning i've read about on here - which might make it worse than Super4, I personally won't be playing anyone until I understand my characters better while being consistent with my combo's.

Well you won't ever get consistent with your combos until you do them over and over and over in a real match, against a real person. Doing them in training mode is completely different, there's no pressure.

about the freeze problem:
-only happens in arcade mode from stage 2-6
-always happens in the first 10 seconds of the match
-doesnt matter how much is going on at the screen
-only happens once per match
-resets all your inputs and makes you a sitting duck
-happens when installed, played from disc, online or offline

strange nobody else noticed that.

I thought that would be the case too until I played Blazblue - although I found the combo's easier than in this game, but i'm not even close to being consistent yet and learning 3 characters at once is a pain.

I noticed it but like I said, it only started happening after a few days of playing. Have you tried clearing your cache? Was going to try it later myself.

4 game win streak and lose on the 5th wonderful way to end the night.
Love how I'm horrible with Wesker yet I don't want to give him up.
I keep forgetting that he has teleport sometimes, and really messes me up because of it.

missed your post. very strange. doesit happen to you only in arcade or also in other modes?
training seems fine for me.

@sailor: only happens when i use dante, it cancels all combos and i am open for about a second.

I've noticed the freeze in Arcade mode occasionally, but I've never had it reset my inputs or anything like that, it's just like a half-second of lag or something.

It was happening to me in Arcade mode exactly as you described. Haven't seen it happen in training and haven't played online yet. Really hoping it doesn't happen online, thats what I'm worried about the most. Would be infuriating.

Does the "Updating Player Data" (or whatever it says) take a long time for anyone else? It takes up to a minute sometimes for me even if I'm just going back to the main menu from training or missions.

Been playing on the Madcatz SFIV TE this week for the first time (never been a joystick user), and man, Im having an incredibly difficult time trying to get simple down-forward attack commands to routinely go off, among other things. Ive heard switching to an octo-gate helps, but it seems most recommend just sticking with the stock square gate. I guess practice, practice, practice, but when you get into an actual match, its very frustrating to FEEL like your doing to move to perfection, and it not go off, and then you get juggled or blasted. It'll come with time I suppose.

shit, freezes now happen online for me. its not lag, its the same as in arcade mode. 0.5 second freeze in the first ten seconds of the match.

fix that shit capcom (is there a way to tell them about those problems?).

I would like to thank Capcom for helping every single person who was in my midnight tournament turn their game back in for trade. Sweet, no one I know in my town left to play with.

=(

Please explain.

Barebone modes, poor online, no spectator modes for when we couldn't meet at someone's house (this has hurt PSN chat tpo =/) and X Factor (wayyyyyy too strong as it stands right now ) were all reasons I was given.

I honestly can't help but agree with most points.

They're moving on other games. Its a stacked quarter after all. Meanwhile, I'm back having to rely on online.

ugh, fucking hate that Forward, Down, Down-forward motion.

Shit thats just DP. Why is this giving me problems? fuck. I can do this in like every other fighting game
Dude, I feel your pain. I cringed the moment I found out the command for his teleports and counters.

Speaking of which, Wesker also has a projectile counter if you're having problems with fireballs. The timing is relatively lenient, to boot.

Well, with the supreme netcode offered by MvC3, it shouldn't be a prob--

You did not lose much. People who refuse to give this game more than a week would quit any other fighting game just as fast. Good riddance.

XFactor is probably the only issue I have out of those listed. Seems totally superfluous and unnecessary.

Uh, well... I still play SSF4 but I've barely touched Marvel since the hype died down because of some of those reasons.

:lol Exactly. It wouldn't be a problem if--

The connecting is terrible in this game. Once you play though, the netcode seems to be good. I only had a couple of matches where I really felt the lag.

None of this happens to me. I also have the 360 version.

So I figured I'd share this footage I captured. Pretty short and nothing WOW I don't think, but for anyone struggling with Zero out there it might get your brain going on what you could be doing to flesh him out more.

Sorry for the somewhat crappy quality of footage. Done off a camera I got not too long ago and I'm still not really set up for a good way to record footage yet. Enjoy. :)

Video's are still being processed too on YT it seems so the quality should improve. I was missing sound at first when I went to watch, but now it's on there, so if no sound refresh and you might get it.

Damn, very nice.

As agonizing as the wait for this game was, I'm really thinking this needed more dev time. Their original spring release window would have helped a lot. A couple more events with all characters playable, or even a demo would have given them so much more feedback to work with. If they saw how much people hate the XF mechanic as it is, and how ridiculous they made Sentinel, they might have had time to fix it. Not to mention, they could have improved the options and UI considerably. Here's hoping they have been using the last few months since the creative deadline (Sept, right?) to iron these issues out via patch, and the end result is the same.

if you are talking about forward -> down -> down forward motion then join the club. I have been using a stick for a good while now and I still have to be very deliberate with that motion to get things to work.

In general the stick will take practice but I also suggest you stick with the square gate.

I find the more I concentrate on doing that motion the less consistent I am at pulling it off. Oh how I wish you could just DF x 2 :(

Oh Dr. Doom is pretty awesome... mhmhmh
What do you guys think of my team Haggar,Ryu and Dr. Doom?

Try not to ride the when you're doing in.

I don't know why, but I am currently obsessed with beating the game with every character to see the endings. I will probably not bother online until I see everyone. I can't believe how motivated I am to see 2 panels of art. I guess it might be the cameos and teases in the endings. Ryu and Hulk for example. Can Ryu's ending be a tease for some DLC with 3 characters?

I already did this myself. There are a bunch of character cameos in the endings.

A lot of endings have cameos. It's kinda like TvC:UAS, I think it's just throwing fans a bone. Not a hint at DLC.
