In their e-mail they said they can't complete the order because they aren't getting enough. And gave me a a 5% coupon. =/

Obviously they found out they'd get fewer than expected.
 
So I suddenly had a bout of paranoia after reading about people getting their CE orders canceled and went to see if my Capcom Store order was still in place and submitted.

Logged in and saw my order number with date (order was placed during the clockwork v neo match :lol) and clicked on the order to view it. "SYSTEM ERROR CONTACT SUPPORT". At this point I'm bugging out and look for a way to contact Capcom support to double check everything is OK. Got in touch with Digital River Capcom support and they let me know my order is still fine. PHEW!

For those who also want to double check, the number for the Capcom online store is 866-585-3251.
 
Anybody have any experience with Amazon release day delivery? This will be my first time using it. Hoping the game shows up early and not at 7:00 at night.
 
I've never worried about Amazon shipping days and what not. Just hoping to not see a "can't fulfill all SE orders" blahness through Amazon. I ain't worried but just being a little cautious. At least I'll get in a fix on Monday over at Best Buy.

I'm sure it's not finished, though.

If they had started work on Jill and Shuma but decided to put off finishing them so they could focus on the rest of the cast, it would make sense to keep what they've already got done on the disc. Same thing they've (probably) done with Frank West.

They better not pull that shit but I am worried since SE preorders stopped so early.
 
I dunno dudes... you can still find OG SFIV CEs floating around new for a low price. IF you can't get the CE at launch, you might want to just wait it out a bit.

I've used it a few times. Always got the game before noon.

It usually comes in the afternoon through ups. If you are really antsy go buy exact same version from a brick and mortar store and return a your amazon copy to the store when it arrives or sometimes during the week.

I got the regular edition from Amazon because I know that I'll never use any of the crap that comes with it plus I'm gonna use that $10 credit towards Mortal Kombat 9. Also Buy.com has it.....for 75.17 though :(
 
Waiting to see if Amazon gets the CE back up sucks. I might as well just per order the regular now to still get same day delivery. I'll be getting the guide either way.

You mean you don't care about Jill and shuma? Good chance the characters will be about 10 dollars themselves. I Think the ce is a good deal.

Also the free month of the Marvel digital comics. Never really read any so figure it's a good opportunity to see what all the comic buzz is all about.

I called Gamestop to ask about the midnight launch and I asked if they were getting any extra CE's in and they emphatically said no they weren't. Seems it's actually super limited. Best bet would be going to Walmart or Kmart type places that don't take preorders. Get there right when they open.
 
Okay guys, was playing SFIV on my iPod and after 20 tries, I finally beat a max level RYU with C.Viper, HYPEEEEEEE! Now, to translate that into MARVEL BABY!

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Accidentally pre-ordered the 360 version and have decided to stick with PS3. I'm banking on Fry's having it if not Best Buy so I'm not too worried.

The fact that Amazon has been sold out of them since they basically started to take orders, could actually hint at this being a true... limited edition.

But there is good news. KMart is giving 25$ GC with purchase. I was thinking of trading in my SE for that and the GC(And just buy the DLC), but the difference isn't too much since I'm getting mine for 60$

If it's anything like SSFIV costumes (which I've not picked up any of) they might very well do something like 400 points per character then add in some mega-packs with multiple DLC characters for a better bundled price. I'm perfectly fine with saving the $10 and just playing with the other 36 characters until I see what DLC character pricing plan actually is.

Called my local EB.. which is apparently a Gamestop now.. and they said "no clue we won't know until the day of." Don't give me this BS, do you *have* to lie as part of policy or something?

Looks like I'm fucked. Going to have to either check a place with a Wal-Mart and an EB or a place with an EB and a BestBuy in the morning of. And those Wal-Mart employees are known for buying all the shit out before it actually goes sale to customers :/

I have plenty of MS points on deck for them if I want em. It is a great deal for those who want those extras but I just dont find them useful.

This is actually excellent advice, Fry's doesn't seem to get a ton of game buyers. I was there last week and they still had a couple Cataclysm CE's just sitting there.

Yeah and mine had stacks of the Chun-Li Fight Sticks as well. They're usually dependable for hard to find gaming gear in general.
 
We don't have Fry's in Canada :(

I called another EB and dude gave me the low down cause he wasn't a prick, & said he'll let me know how many MvC3 CE copies they'll get in Sunday for sale on launch day. If not, Wal-Mart.

Hype slightly deflated even though the soul still burns :(
 
Where I live, I have an EB Games, Future Shop, Best Buy and Wal Mart all within a 5 minute driving distance of each other.

I'm getting this fucking CE.
