Seems like the VS games have always required you to play a bit of rush-down which completely goes against my normal turtle play style. i.e. I play Dhalsim in SF4. Any characters I should gravitate that might better fit that mold?

Did you ever get into SSF4?

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I got the false impression that most of these characters were all about rush-down due to the reveal trailers being all about showing off combos.

Yeah I play Dhalsim in SSF4 as well. But in general I'm just a turtle-y player haha. I don't have the dexterity to pull off fancy combos or links so I just try and concentrate on the basics.

Man, I'm really considering Amateratsu and it's awesome that she has such a good mid range game. If I stick with Hsien Ko as well I'll have some decent options against the big hitters.

Take your pick, half of them can fight close quarters too if needed.

First few matches were against a dude from the UK and it was pretty brutal. However, that is to be expected with me in SoCal.

The next few were guys in the US, and they all seemed to run pretty damn smooth. I'd argue none of them were in California tho.

Correct, Phoenix is very runaway, as well as Magnus.

They both have tools for run away, moreso phoenix, but using said tools to play hit and run mix ups is far more effective and frustrating

Oh and arthur really wont have to hard of a time vs rush down, what most people haven't been using or abusing is the fact he has a counter.

Basically doing ANYTHING in the game gets you PP. Seems like you'll be able to unlock these guys really quickly.
