Yeah, I agree, people are reaching comparing it to MODOK's. Eh, it does a get a bit more menacing, but it's a bit too generic TV villain-y for Shuma I think.
Hey, just struck me, isn't there a Hawkeye movie coming out? Seems like they'd want to promote that character ala Thor. Plus, some of the moves are already in Taskmaster, I reckon.
He's slated to be in the Avengers movie, but that wouldn't really give him any more reason to be in than any supporting hero/villain in any other Marvel movie.

Because the Battle Network series gives Megaman the most versatile set of weaponry for both close quarters and ranged combat as well as unique staple moves to the series. He could create traps using Shock/Sonicwave on the ground, use his Cannon to stun enemies, has a wide variety of melee swords (that could be used as animations for Normals especially).
His dash could also be the teleport he uses from block to block, the possibilities are endless, especially with the vast amount of chips that range from elemental projectiles, to fans for keepaway, to air combat (using a Dash Z chip for a T-Hawk kind of move). Essentially, he'd play like MODOK mixed with a bit of Olimar, but at the same time he could be balanced by adding the custom bar that must fill up before he can summon his next chips.
Basically, versus any other Megaman incarnation, his moveset is more versatile and varied so much that when the devs want to actually pick and choose moves, they could go in so many directions. He could be an all offense, chip spewing machine. He could be a keepaway character with all the defensive chip possibilities. Hypers can bring out Roll, Gutsman, Protoman etc. To aid him much like their chips do.
Or, he could be a powerup character that switches between styles, or hell even like the games he could switch between styles dynamically and his attack properties could change depending on the style he's in (style basically reflects your play dynamic). So basically if your turtling and taking a lot of chip damage, you would switch into a Wood Shield guide and would take less chip damage, but also as a result would pump out less attack damage until you start attacking enough to switch into say Heat-Guts style which is high damage output, especially with the default Megabuster attack. Fan movesets are best movesets. If you're going to pick and choose specific powers Megaman acquires and can use himself anyways for the MvC3 inclusion, you might as choose Megaman.EXE.
Also it's the only good series of Megaman games.
Also, I cosign Bass.
Seth mentioned how they wanted Hawkeye, but their ideas for Hawkeye were eventually pooled into Taskmaster after Marvel wanted Taskmaster in instead.
...WHAT. I'm getting more and more interested by Zero...
As for MegaMan.EXE, the versatility he possesses is not unique to the MegaMan series. With all the Robot Masters that Classic MegaMan has come by, I'm sure he does not need to be restricted to Wood Shield, Tornado and FIFA ball...
In my opinion, the most "likely" MegaMan would be Volnutt/Trigger. He already has a model and it would do great promotion for Legends/Dash 3. If he is included, he better get a ProtoMan color scheme.
Nope, Trish is more based on deception and aside from having the possibility of making traps being shared between the two, I have no idea how they (would) play similarly.. at all.

Word is bond. And I know it isn't, I'm just saying if your making one cohesive character that isn't constantly changing entirely, Megaman.EXE would be a better option because he basically just morphs his hand into whatever chip needed.
Also cosigned Protoman colour scheme. If 4 colours: Megaman, Roll, Protoman, Bass.

Though I think it'd be really cool if OG Mega Man showed up, did a pose like Cpt Commando where his armor comes into place and turns into Mega Man X that way.
Hey, when you have the (awesome) DMC3 Dante running up and down fighting in this game, I'm guessing that all bets are off on which "version" of a character fits the mold more.
Still sucks that we'll pretty much never see a good rendition (3D or otherwise) of Nakayama's Zero/Zero series Zero.
As much as I think characters and whatnot are solidified at this point, let me take some time out to say that it would be nothing but jokes all day erry day if Juggs got into MvC3. Playing this with some of my old friends who were big on those old "Juggernaut Bitch" videos + alcohol = infinite laughs. :lol
The difference in the way these games are played by you guys versus the way my group of friends plays (and I've been playing 2 since it came out on Dreamcast) cracks me up. I dunno that I've ever even done an assist on purpose--we just pick characters we like and try and do the most ridiculous stuff possible.

EDIT: DAMNIT BEATEN BY ZARO.
I suggest watching Justin use her, or messing with her yourself, she's exactly what you are describing
Trish changes styles and adapts to combat dynamically?
I posted this before but didn't get much of an answer, I'm gonna be using the Marvel Online pass a lot that comes with the CE, what are some essential reads?
List so far is:
Spider-Man Noir
Civil War
Marvel Zombies
Any other you guys would recommend? Something Dr. Doom centric would be awesome.
Online is kinda busted. Games will begin and then hold on the Vs. screen and never move. Have to dashboard to get out of it. If you're in a ranked game, it goes under a 'disconnect' as well.
Connections seem alright, however it is a much different game offline.
All these people with streams running tonight have been terrible.
