I suck at this game. The only combo I can pull off is the basic ABC Launch air combos.

I can never pull off the down, down-right, right combos. I can nail it about 50% of the time, and it's frustrating when I don't and I just flail in the wind.

I'm actually digging playing as her more than him too. He feels so OP though. I decimate without much effort on good ol' Logan.
 
Hopefully playing with a buddy this afternoon. Man I got so much hype today, it's not even funny. Gonna bring my Saturn pad and test it out. Will post impressions later :)

My copy is all paid for (360 version). I'm thinking about going to midnight, since I might cop the CE, if they have extra copies.
 
Now that some people have the game I was wondering, are 100% combos like this commonplace during regular, not high-level play? Because I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Also, slightly related: there's a setting in the options to adjust damage like all the other versus games, right?

This guy is a pretty good player, he is in the fighting genre for ages. Don't think you get this game and be like him. Trust me to pull off a 100% combo as a beginner you have to train ALOT.

Edit: and yes, there is a option to adjust damage.
 
Anybody have numbers on Storm chip damage on her super?
I'd like to do Storm hail DHC Character 2 Chip Super DHC Character 3 Chip Super (until dead) if it worked. (Would probably work on Phoenix).

It'd probably be a huge waste of meter, but maybe it's a valid option (especially with x factor) and plus I love me some chip damage kills.

There is no high level mvc3 play yet.

It was pretty much that way with every game with my friends for the longest time. We got decent at Melee but always sucked at MvC2, Brood War, and Third Strike.

But we all worked super hard to get better at Starcraft 2 and we're gonna do the same for MvC3. :D

Mine is still "Order in process as well." I ordered mine on the 3rd though, which is probably why it hasnt gone out yet.

DarkoMaledictus is pretty much known to talk out of his ass. He made a big deal about how sf4 low tier characters have no chance against "top tier" characters with superficial, at best, reasoning behind it, hence his tag.

He's better off pretending like knows how to play dudley and guile.

capcom store is really effing with me. My copy still has not shipped.

I anyone in this thread familiar with getting games early in the pittsburgh area. The closest thing I can find to a mom and pop is this chain of stores called "The Exchange" . Missing maryland right about now.

I usually purchase from Amazon, but since I waited so long to preorder (I waited until I got a new job first) they were no longer doing release date shipping on MvC3. Even with one day shipping they estimated the delivery date of the 17th. So I canceled and preordered at Gamestop. But now my lazy ass has to stop by there after work to pick it up next week.
