Just tried it out (mission 4 right?). Where are you having problems? You just need to be fast doing all the inputs and make sure to release joystick from crouch to neutral when doing standing H (while immediately buffering the combination punch H)

Yeah it's mission 4. Basically I can't seem to string together any of the moves. I'll keep working with it though, no telling what I'm doing wrong.

edit: ah! First move as in air S? Try pressing S when you're as close to the ground as possible. Otherwise it's not going to combo.

Stupid question: How do you cancel out of regular attacks? I'm doing Ryu's Mission thing, and #4 wants me to complete a combo using a cancel, and as far as I can tell I need to cancel the Standing H to go into the Roundhouse kick, but I'm missing something obvious I think.

Do the whole combo in neutral position (don't press forward), as soon as you attack with standing H, immediately press forward and H. He should do the roundhouse kick. At that point prepare the qcb motion for the last part.

Man Sentinel's assists have him out for a long ass time (longer than in MVC2). He gets punished a lot in every game, by the time he actually comes in he has like half health.

And Wesker, Skull and Dante all do extremely well against Sentinel. Wesker especially shuts down Sentinel. The problem comes when Sentinel X-Factors which causes the opponent to piss their pants and Sentinel just bullies his way to victory. :/

well x factor sent isnt really that much faster, he just hits REALLY hard. Fight him the same and stop letting a glowing red aura break your cool

I see a lot of people doing this. When Sentinel goes LVL3 X Factor, they just play super defensive with your own X Factor and let the timer on his X Factor run out then go in for the kill. He can't really do much without assists.

You unlock chars by doing basically anything in the game. And seeing as Akuma's the first char to unlock iirc, you can just idle in training mode for 15 minutes and unlock him probably.
